Lets be honest here, obviously Austin is a very good team. They did lose 2 games in the regular season though. The losses were to the #4 and #7 seeded teams for the playoffs. That pretty much means that every team is at risk any week. We already knew that, but the playoffs in the East and West are showing that....once again. Who will be this years Lone Star Bats?

Well, you do realize MO's got the Giant's superbowl ring as his avatar...

An omen, perhaps?

To be fair...this #7 finished 11-5 and beat Austin, Oakland and Silverymoon - the only team to beat all three top seeds this season. I think this speaks more to the parity of the conference than anything else.

It most certainly is an omen. Justin Tuck's severing of Jason Campbell's head from his body tomorrow night will be yet another omen - the Giants' accension to the top.

Ascension? Clear proof that even Giants fans realize how short-lived their crown was.

Face it bro, the Giants are gonna suck this year. Finally though, it's not gonna be Eli's fault. I truly believe he's turned the corner and will be very good but your team just isn't anything special.

Mr. Ho-Hum Manning tripped and fell in a pile of Special towards the end of the season last year and somehow the stink stuck through February.

I'm never one to revel in another team's injuries, but you gotta admit that Osi goin down after Strahan retired knocks your team down a lot closer to average. Tuck may be good but he's no superstar and even a superstar DE can get covered up with no complimentary pass rush.

I made a pretty bold statement 2 years ago in a drunken stupor right after Dallas upset the 9-0 Colts and turns out it may have been the most prophetic, Miss Cleo shit I ever drank.

Here we come.

Fuck Brandon Jacobs.

Ascension meaning new season, clean slate. We'll need to prove the ESPN talking heads wrong all over again. Losing Strahan hurts, but that's the NFL. Luckily, we've planned ahead by drafting well at the position. Tuck is already every bit as good as Strahan was last season.

Losing Osi is a huge loss - no doubt. But you'll recall that we lost Kiwi -- our #1 pick from two years ago -- to injury last year. He played SSLB prior to going down. Getting him back to RDE -- where he absolutely dominated while at BC -- is tantamount to signing a stud DE in FA.

Also, I think most underestimate how well Jerry Reese has drafted since taking over. The rookies played a huge role in the run last season and there's every reason to believe that they'll continue to improve.

It'll be tough to repeat, especially in the toughest division in football. Whether Tuck is talented as Strahan is debatable (I believe he's not nearly to that level yet) someone is gonna have to step up on that side of the ball and be the leader that ole Mike was.

Tuck is Strahan? Mercy. Read up about Strahan.

Getting a DE that dominated at BC is tantamount to signing a stud DE in FA? Am I missing something here?

Reese has done well and Coughlin was surely overly criticized at first. But we're all friends here. Let's be real.

Giants put together a special run and noone can ever take that from you or the Annals of History. It ain't happenin again.

All I'm sayin is don't butter yourself up too much or you're gonna be let down. Aim for 8-8 and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you go 10-6, make the playoffs and lose to New Orleans in the first round.

Unfortunately, Favre is the best thing New York got goin for it these days.

Just like the Elves, Austin came in talking trash about how they would blow through this conference onto AA. Just like the Elves, couldn't live up to the talk.

Like I said earlier we came to this league to have fun and we did that we planned on leaving and fell short, you had nothing to say when we beat you all during the season which we did with class so how about you focus on not being here with us next season

And i would not call the number one seed in the west all year and a 30 game winning streak not living up to the hype

Hey, I'm just taking you up on your offer

We still must disagree on the meaning of 'since.'

I'm only acting like we've won the games we've played. Ain't nobody waiving around jewelry down here in Austin.

My bad. Didn't realize you weren't allowed to yap it up while you're on top. We'll take that underdog status gladly if you A-Holes would just give us a hand towards that end.

Maybe the Elves aren't actually that bad. Maybe half the damn A7 is satisfied with bein mediocre and waffling in the same league forever so they whine when any other team comes in here and wears a lil pride on their shoulder. Or maybe the Elves are that bad.

Heard that song and dance before, right now i'd say you win the regular season. Come playoff time, I'd say there's some horses in the race that have a chance of winning it all.

Winning regular season games is all we can do right now. When a team comes close to beating us, we'll worry about it then. Until then, i hope the league enjoys the consistent beat downs. I like the talk from teams who can't win regular season games but have "magical" playoff plans to win it all. I'm sure no one else has extra tricks up their sleeves.....

yeah its the same magic plans that they had last year before we went on this 26 game winning streak or whatever our streak is now... And civility is over rated we are the shit and we are going to win this league if we lose feel free to pile on and if not shut up batches and take it..... we won't be here long

P.S. The Elves are not bad at all they are just another team from the best damn league in the BBB the arrogant ass #13.....
