I'd like to single out my starting QB, Jon Anthony b/c we passed the least of any team yet he still compiled 1002 yards passing, 14 TDs, 3 INTs, and a 92.6 QB rating. He didn't complain about how often he got to throw the ball and was just concerned with winning, so I wanted to make sure that he was commended for being such a team player.

Level Pss Yds Yds/Game TD QB Rating
17 1,002 71.6 14 92.6

There are many more that are worthy of honorable mention, but since this is Labor Day weekend, I have only so much time and couldn't list everyone that deserves props for their hard work and great performances for this season.

If you feel that your guy was slighted, feel free to vent b/c this list is not necessarily final, it is simply my opinion.

Owners....if there are players on your squad that kicked ass for you all season, ones that didn't bitch & moan, ones that kept their energy up all season, ones that put SPs and equipment points in the right places, please list them in this thread and give them kudos for outstanding performances.

I gotta give a shout out to our starting QB Dangerous Dan Marino. He's only started half the season for us and both of our QBs have split pretty much equal time so his stats aren't has high as most other starters. That being said, he has the highest QB rating of any player with over 200 attempts at 93.8. With 1637 yards he's 2nd in the conference in yd/att at 6.9 and 11 TDs and only 2 INTs.

I think it's a testament to our WRs who are very good but since we spread the ball around so much, nobody sticks out. Anyway, just gotta give my guys some props because they play every week and don't yell "Give me the damn ball!"

I'm surprised by your choices for kickers. Did you take into account things like kickoff distance as well? Because both of your choices are only hitting FGs at a 70% clip.

If I had to pick two, I'd go with Minsk's Noele Prefontaine, who hit 14/16, including everything from 40 in, and 100% on XPs, and Sparta's Flash Upright, who's been a rock for us, hitting 12/14 FGs, and 71/73 XPs, with all of his misses coming when he was exhausted from kicking up a storm in a blowout.

I did not take avg KO distance into consideration b/c that would take a considerable amount of time to analyze all of that data, and I'm not confident that avg KO distance would ultimately be a determining factor.

I chose Sir Kickomatic and Brett Dunn based on the total attempts that both of them had and how many they made. Flash Upright and Noele Prefontaine are certainly deserving, but their sample size is not big enough and if you extrapolate their number to the same number of attempts that Sir Kickomatic and Brett Dunn had, you could not say that they would do any better. Granted, Flash's XP percentage is really good considering the number of XP attempts that he had. However using that logic then you'd also have to consider 5 other kickers whom all had 100% XP percentage, and then 2 kickers would made 100% of their FG attempts.

Like I said before, this roster is just one owners opinion....Flash Upright and Noele Prefontaine had excellent seasons and definitely deserve consideration.

Total attempts seems like a odd way to judge the quality of a kicker, unless they're taking an exceptionally large number of kicks from 40+ yards, which isn't the case here. I nominated the two that I did because those two had the highest FG percentage of starting kickers (the two or three that did better weren't starting or had only played 3 or 4 games, which in my mind disqualifies them).

And granted, you do see some drop off in performance for taking more attempts, due to morale and energy factors, but even among the top 10 in FGM (those with 17+ FGs made), your two choices only rank 5th and 6th in the league in terms of percentages.

Anyways.. some kickoff numbers, for the curious (yay, greasemonkey):

Brett Dunn -- 56.1 av, 0 TBs
Sir Kickomatic -- 53.4 av, 0 TBs
Noele Prefontaine -- 57.5 av, 0 TBs
Flash Upright -- 57.6 av, 1 TB

I'm not really arguing so much as providing base for discussion, if we're to try to come up with a conference-wide consensus.

All four are worthy candidates to be sure.

Wow... it's really cool to have a player of mine recognized by an opposing team owner. Starting Pro Bowl TE? Shwerve.

Looking it over, I figure if you are gonna have Kung Foo Grip in there then Han Vega needs to be considered

Vega led the conference in INTs(1 more than Kung Foo) and had 25 PDs(8 more than Kung Foo).

Thought I'd give a shout out for him too.
