Well, by that logic then it's going to be wide open every season since the two conference winners promote. It doesn't make any sense. Fact of the matter is, the eventual champion came from Zeta, so until that changes, it's true. Could Rome, Normandy, or Polk have given Munich a run for their money? Of course they could have: Normandy made the conference finals, Polk came the closest to beating BOZ, and Rome actually beat BOZ. The league is wide open, but not because BOZ is no longer here.

Yes, they could have, and that's my point. The league isn't wide open because BOZ is gone, the league is wide open because no one team is clearly, without question, that far dominant over everyone else (including BOZ).
