i think there were some early games (like the Inverness one where our qb went 10-31 with several picks) that probably over inflated how good you guys were. It was a close game for certain, but it was more of Inverness shooting ourselves in the foot than Bushy Park being near-equals to the top teams in the league.

either way, good luck closing out your season.

Again please don't anyone think we're moaning about the L itself. We're not and we have full and proper respect for every team we face hence I have no interest in saying "xxx game is easy". Other people may want to say that, but that's not my style. We treat all teams with the respect they deserve and I am proud to play where we play and enjoy the banter (even with Birmingham).

My issue is the fact that someone has kidnapped the Bushy Park Badgers and replaced them with the a team comprised of Mr Bean clones. We're not doing justice to ourselves or to the teams we play. Everyone deserves a quality game, win or lose. No one likes smashing the opposition (or at least we don't). I want the other team to say on their boards "Nice win guys. They were tough but we got it done". That's what's annoying me. At the moment we're as close to a gimmie as you get.

Maybe it over-inflated other peoples opinions, but I assure you our feet are rooted on the ground. In fact we said to ourselves that we probably shouldn't have been in a position to win that game in the first place.

In fact, ST said on several occasions that he thought we were punching above our weight with some of the teams.

Thanks, Good Game to you guys also. You have a nice squad over there, hope you figured out what you needed to. Good luck to you in the playoffs also, you will be a tough out for anyone who plays you.

Look - we're really not sufficiently stupid that we're not capable of analysing who we're playing and figuring out what we should be able to do and what we shouldn't be able to do.

Taking into account opposition there has been a DRAMATIC change in the performances of the Badgers over the course of the season, and it simply doesn't get explained either by saying that the schedule got harder, or that unlabanced builds got nixed - since the only real unbalanced build we have is currently tearing it up.

Now i'm fully prepared to admit that in attempts to try and fix whatever's gone wrong i might have actually made it worse, and i know on a couple of occasions we've simply outthought ourselves in the gameplan and gone away from what we do well, but the fact remains that we're now getting blown away by teams that we shouldn't be, and we're playing significantly worse than early in the season, and even down the stretch last year when we were giving good teams a good game.

We're being absolutely dominated, and there's no way that would be happening if we were playing as we were at the start of the year.

Maybe we'd still lose the games, but it wouldn't be because we got blown off the field.

I'll throw in my 2 cents here - there have definitely been changes in the sim that have affected player performance, and the major ones seemed to take place around game 6 or so, and have continued. This isn't a slam on anybody who beat us as they worked with the same game we did and were excellent teams.

It's certainly possible though that certain teams were affected by the changes more than others. I think almost everybody agrees that unbalanced builds paid the price this year. Not knowing Bushy Park's builds it's hard for me to comment on them specifically.

Past that there have been definite changes over the season in how defensive advanced tactics influence the game. There are some coordinators out there who zigged when they should have zagged at times, including myself. Again we all play under the same rules so it's no excuse, but it has been frustrating at times. Part of this game is guessing what effect Bort's changes will have, for me it's not a particularly enjoyable (but necessary) part.

Bottom line is that I think Bushy Park may have a point. It's certainly possible the changes affected them more than it did others, although there's no sure way to tell. It's not an excuse though, and as far as I can tell Bushy Park isn't using it that way.

I'll jump in on this too. There have definitely been changes throughout the season and every team will suffer through them differently. Whether it be the changes with speed/agility, the CB/WR/passing game changes or just weird AI things. Bottom line is every one has to learn how to adjust on the fly. Some people will have more luck than others. Whether that is due to builds or other things is for every team to figure out. We've had to make changes on PGL to compensate for certain things and there are still plenty of things that throw us off (especially regarding advanced AI). BP's not using it as an excuse but pointing it out that they're not happy with the changes. The flip side though is that we all have to deal with the same changes so it's hard to imagine one team being at more of an advantage than another unless the team had bad builds (which doesn't appear to be the case). Also, let's keep in mind that if someone notices you pass 80% of the time then guys are going to start game planning against that and make it less effective, etc.

good game wolves. that was a huge comeback in the 4th quarter. game was closer than i thought it would be. maybe i should stop tinkering with the advanced AI. you guys are going to be very tough next season though.

According to me, stockholm wasn't ready for the season start. Perhaps late boosters or AI not ready. I don't know. I'm sure they will probably win the game if they face us again.

We had zero late boosters and we never did figure out the AI. What happened is that a lot of things that killed us in the passing game early got tweaked out by Bort. I think our AI did improve at least on defense a bit, but it was mostly Bort tweaking some of the tweaks.

Good game cedo, you guys have come a ways. Funny that I played with magnus' stuff over the last few games, and now that I went back to the normal settings/equip he gets 9 sacks. Go figure. It seems Bort drastically reduced the amount of times a fast LDE collides with a TE while pass rushing over the past few days. Good news for Magnus

edit: This 4 play sequence pretty well sums up why I would love the option to put no one at punt returner and just have the ball bounce where it may when we force punts: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=88523&pbp_id=6978836

we're forced to put our #1 WR at PR now since this has happened to us 4 times already this year.

I dream of your team winning the championship and never had to be crushed again like this

Exactly, we're not complaining about losses, more venting that we're currently lost in the woods when it comes to trying to get the team back playing well again after all the changes.
