Across the board this league seems to be REALLY tightening up on the D side of the ball.
Madden Nation has had to deal with a lot of Defensive issues in the past 2 weeks.
1. Our starting level 12 LOLB PM'ed me stating that he did not like his LB, and wanted me to release him immediately so that he could retire the player and use the flex points to boost his RB. I was like WTF ? But as an owner that doesnt like to hold players hostage, I released him. Come to find out, his team was about to make him a backup unless he boosted. Thanx for hurting our team to help another ! So I had to replace him with a lower level LB, which ended up hurting our entire LB core.
2. Our 3rd string level 11 shutdown CB PM's me wanting to be traded. This was very shocking to me, as it was immediately after our 77-3 beatdown over New Jersey. I guess winning isnt enough for some people ? He wanted to be a starter somewhere else. So I traded him away. That hurt our pass D a lot, as we steadily continue to drop in pass D rankings each week.
3. Our starting ROLB decides to set everything on HARD and go inactive for 5 days. Right before our game against OKC I notice he is still only at 44 energy. WTF ? So to the bench he had to go for that game. That definitely hurt. He will now spend 3-4 days on the bench while he replenishes energy.
4. With all of these problems on D, I had to make some trades. Now the team chemistry is shot all to hell. What else can go wrong ?
