I think I would like to have a couple threads - one would basically just be like the heisman - This QB got this many points, followed by this one, then this one, and pretty much list the pro bow rosters, and then how many votes each person got, along with their season stats. You could discuss anything you wanted in this one regarding the pro bowl teams.

Then, another post could be voluntary "I voted this way" posts, and discussion on that. I personally don't wanna make it turn into personal attacks about who I do and don't vote for, but in some cases I will commend who I do think deserved it, but I'm not gonna throw my whole ballot out there.

Hey. I am cool with what everybody wants. You could also just edit your first post with results as they are updated and the discussion could just follow.

I like robo's idea, 1 vote per team for the various positions, then pm to a representative vote collector from the other conference and he will post results of who voted for who after a deadline. The owner can pass his votes to a GM or another member of the team if needed and no voting for your own team. Ideally, there would be other threads discussing the various positions and candidates. You could go as far as narrowing it down to 3 and holding another vote as well

I say vote for the list and the top vote getter's get it. Why would you add an extra onto the roster?

I agree with keeping the final roster as it is. was asking if adding an extra tot he vote to kinda get more potential players on the board. Top vote getters are the only ones posted.

Are you guys looking strictly on stats on winning teams like in the pros?

I am not looking simply at raw stats. Example Just because you lead the league in yardage might not mean your the best out there. Look at Saratov. They have 4 backs over 1k yards. After the next game 3 of them will be over 1500. But none of them lead the league. Or do they have the stats because the team is always in the lead/behind?? How many passes/rushes/catches do they have compared to others throughout the league.

I agree.

I looked at stats in general. But not just totals. I looked a lot at averages. I also discounted certain positions based on negative stats such as missed tackles or drops. For something like the QB position, 40 TDs doesn't mean jack to me if you throw 40 Ints. So it is definitely not just raw stats. I didn't look at winning teams at all. Individual players only. Also, I voted the way I thought was best, but you can vote whatever you think is important to you.

You also have to look at position. CBs for example. If they aren't throwing at a CB he can't have the nice INTs or PDs. But he is definately doing his job by taking away the #1 WR of the team. How do you figure that into the equation? If a CB never gave up a recieving TD I'd say he's pretty darn good.

Yeah. Agreed. Same way as offensive linemen only have pancakes (like ufshowboat stated somewhere..) and no "sacks allowed" record.

CBs is even more hard to judge.. There should be something like:
Thrown towards
Catches allowed
etc...

A "shutdown corner" is difficult to spot, if you're not watching a ton of replays..

Certain things you can't tell, but the biggest thing I'd keep in mind defensively is that a player with high tackles, pd, ints ect on a good team is much different then one a bad team. Losing teams usually have quite a few more defensive plays thus they usually also have several league leaders in tackles.
