Would all the owners be interested in having our own alpha-zeta contest? Maybe scrimmages after game 16 following my suggestion. Alpha vs. Zeta matching #1 thru #16 with their counterpart. Then we could give a gold star to the conference that wins the most of the 16 games.
As a bonus, each and every games should be close and exciting. You'd be playing for the rep of your conference.
