Definitely did not anticipate that many rushes out of you guys, totally caught us off guard.

Excellent win, I feel each of our teams have a bright future..rivalry in the making??

tough loss for you guys. playoff picture now has four 5-4 teams vying for 3 spots to round out the top 8. who's gonna be left out?

Zulu will be dogs 3 times and in 2 close games, Seattle's got two close games and one dog left, we'll be dogs in 4 games (why couldn't get get a cream puff from Lion again this year, damnit), and Iowa's going to be a dog in 3. Given the choice, I think I'd take our remaining schedule over Iowa's considering who their next three opponents are, that'll be interesting.

Iowa has a very tough 3 games. I really don't see them winning any of them.

If we finish with a tied record though queball, we have the victory over you that should split a tie, if GLB works like that.

And brit, it looks really tough, but I wouldn't count us out of anything. It's up in the air at this point, I'll acknowledge that, but I've got a good group of guys who I think can pull off anything.

I don't get this league sometimes.

Teams win games they have no business winning, then they lose games they have no business losing.

Good luck Wednesday!

I agree, that's not necessarily the league I think though..it's the game.

GLB is a beta after all, very much unperfect yet...it's no madden or ncaa, where if you know what the hell you're doing, you'll likely win game in and game out. I'm a huge fan of football, I love the shit out of it, and I study it as much as possible. When it comes to tactics, I know what I'm doing. There's just a degree of uncertainty and randomness that GLB has, and the player market being so screwed up doesn't help things.

I set us back last season by waiting on grabbing the star players right away like many other AA#3 teams did, partially because I received my team gutted at the last moment, and partially because I thought bringing in a core group of guys to develop was the route to go, and while many have stuck with me and panned out, the money saved didn't do a whole lot of good with the player market in a heap of shit.

Either way, good luck, I've tricked myself into thinking the team comparison bars might mean something, but I had this debate with Djibouti awhile back and said the exact opposite. Either way, the better team based on a random number generator will win.

I re-read the post I made, and that sounds like a complete bitch post. I guess I didn't intend for it to be that way, that was just some slight frustration venting.

I guess I just feel like my team has won the true hard fought battles amongst the teams we're tied at 5-4 with. We've beaten all 3 of them and would have the tie breaker, but 2 of our losses come from 2-7 teams, which no disrespect to them, I didn't have circled as losses for us. I guess it just shows how competitive our conference truly is though, so kudos to them.

this league is really close for the most part. we finished 9th last year and only made our team better, but so did everyone else and now we are 2-7.. a lot of it has to do with the ai settings and figuring out how they work.. i know we had some trouble with the settings for our CB's but we have figured things out now and should be more competitive.

My view of (at least our conference) is there are 4 teams at the top and one team at the bottom. Everybody else is within a first down or two of each other. We lost one game by giving up 17 pts in the fourth quarter and we beat teams that (record-wise) we have no business beating. The thing is, when you are this close, you are always a play or two from winning or losing. I just think the teams are close enough that the random element plays a much bigger role than you want it to.

I would also say that the same could be said of the NFL in most cases - really good teams, really bad teams and most of the league in a bunch and thus, little things like wind direction and referee's spots have an influence on the outcome of the game.

I think Chemistry has played a big role in a lot of these games with unexpected results...

Thanks for the congrats. We have been working real hard on our gameplans and AI trying to get them to where they belong. We are pretty close to where i want them now.

Excellent point also. I think chemistry really has a significant influence on the outcome of the game.
