1. Carolina Hammer 6-0 Last week = 1
Ho-hum, another week and another victory for the Carolina Hammer who spanked the Columbus Spartans by 86. Their one week vacation is over now as they host the #3 Orlando Dogg Pound in week 7. Orlando is the toughest team Carolina will have played all season and Orlando’s resounding 18 point win has Hukton taking notice.

2. DC Warriors 6-0 Last week = 2
DC has rolled again in week 6, but a win over Cincinnati isn’t something to write home about. We’re going to find out a lot more about this team in the coming weeks as they hit the most difficult stretch of their schedule, starting off in the Week 7 vs. the #5 Care Bears. However, prior to that they've scheduled the always dangerous Caribbean Sphere for a scrimmage game tomorrow as a final tuneup game before taking on the top teams in the East.

3. Dogg Pound 5-1 Last week = 5
Orlando jumps to the #3 spot after a dominating win over the #5 Care Bears. Why did they leapfrog the Rock Stars when they already lost to them? That loss was week 1 and the common opponent results have been in Orlando’s favor since then. Throw in the win over the Care Bears, and you have your new #3 seed. The road gets tougher in the next 2 weeks, however as Orlando takes on Carolina and DC. Just how good is the Dogg Pound this year? We’ll know in 2 weeks.

4. Rock Stars 5-1 Last week = 4
Cloudwalker’s probably pissed – he beat the Dogg Pound and racked up a 73 point win in week 6, but got leapfrogged by Orlando. The results currently favor Orlando, however the Rock Stars will get to make their case when they take on the Care Bears in 5 weeks. In the meantime, they have to get by #8 French Lick next week who barely lost to Canton in week 6.

5. Care Bears 5-1 Last week = 3
The Care Bear stare lust its luster in week 6 as they stumbled against the Dogg Pound and could only muster 2 FGs as they lost 24-6. It’s a rough start for them, but they have a chance to recover next week as they travel to #2 DC.

6. Eleven Wise Monkeys 5-1 Last week = 6
The Monkeys beat up on #13 Cleveland in week 6 and still fit nicely into the #6 spot. Will they move up in the rankings? Well that all depends on how they do against the top 5, but we’re not going to find that out for a couple weeks. In the meantime, they get #16 West Bend in week 7 to polish the stats page.

7. Canton Hall of Famers 5-1 Last week = 7
Canton survived a scare in week 6 as they hung on against a vicious French Lick attack to win by 7 points. Of course, this makes their #7 and French Lick’s #8 ranking make perfect sense. Canton gets a little breather in the next 3 weeks as they take on #13 Cleveland, #16 West Bend, and #15 Cincinnati. Rest up boys and start scouting as the schedule gets pretty hairy after that.

8. French Lick 2-4 Last week = 8
What do you call a team that loses to the #7 team by 7 points and beats the #9 team by 3 points? Why the #8 seed of course. Next week is a tall order for French Lick as they travel to Rockers Arena to take on the #4 Rock Stars who are looking to prove something after being leapfrogged by Orlando. After that, French Lick gets a little breather as they face #13 Cleveland and #16 West Bend.

9.Oregon Ducks 2-4 Last week = 9
Oregon showed they belong in the #9 spot as they’ve beaten the current #10 team and then hung 20 points on #11 Colorado in week 6. The W must feel good after so many close games in the prior weeks. Look for them to move to 3-4 in week 7 as they dispatch #12 Columbus. This team still has an outside shot at the playoffs, but that all depends on how NY does over the stretch AND if they can knock off French Lick.

10. NY Steel-heads 3-3 Last week = 10
That big woosh you heard today was the sound of relief in NY as the Steel-heads moved back to .500 after the blowout 170 point win over West Bend. NY continues to dominate the bottom of the conference, but has yet to grab a signature win. Up next, NY gets one more tune-up game against #15 Cincinnati before facing off against the #5 Care Bears and a chance for the signature win.

11. Colorado Storm 1-5 Last week = 11
I thought Colorado would put up more of a fight against Oregon, but a 20 point loss shows there is a big dropoff after the #10 team in this conference. However, Colorado’s 40 point victory over Columbus shows there’s also a big dropoff after the #11 spot. Up next, Colorado goes for victory #2 on the season as they face off against #14 Compton.

12. Columbus Spartans 0-5 Last week = 12
This team is starting to disappoint - for a team that has shown a lot of spunk and hard-fought contests in the past, their closest game this season has been a 17 point loss. They have a chance to turn things around against #9 Oregon next week, but it will be an uphill battle as Oregon looks to start rolling after their 2nd win of the season.

13. Cleveland Greyhounds 1-5 Last week = 13
An early season win over Cincinnati keeps the Greyhounds in the #13 slot for now, but they have shown little else since then. After the latest 56 point loss against the #6 Monkeys, they get another tough game against #7 Canton in week 7.

14. Compton ‘Nilla Wafers 0-6 Last week = 14
I just don’t believe this team is the #14 team and I think they will finish higher in the ranking this year However, right now the results just don’t support it. A 73 point loss to the Rock Stars in week 6 certainly didn’t help matters, but a win over #11 Colorado in week 7 definitely would.

15. Cincinnati Slaughter 0-5 Last week = 16
Cincinnati’s tough season continues as they have another blowout loss this time at the hands of #2 DC. Up next is an improving NY team that will likely continue the damage.

16. West Bend Warlocks 2-4 Last week = 14
The waiting continues as Kerg01 still continues to own the team, but only has his players and one of his gm’s players on the team. It will probably be sold soon.

Good job jearly. These next 2 games are going to be very interesting for us. I'm curious to see how they go. The Hammers and Warriors are top notch teams.

Awesome rankings jearly.

Our (Carolina) upcoming game feels like it should be a nailbiter, though I hope we stomp 'em. =P
