5 weeks have gone by and some teams are making a name for themselves, while others are still suffocating on the bottom of the pile. Lets see what happened this week

Sacramento Gunslingers vs. Buffalo Bugbears 49-3
Cook Island Cobras vs. Majuro Marshalls 75-0
Melbourne Dreadnoks vs. Palau Pride 32-21
Streator Storm vs. E.C. Express 10-37
Orlando Gators vs. Papua New Guinea Cannibals 6-91
Oklahoma Bears vs. Tonga Havoc 45-27
Adamstown Abusement Park vs. Gold Coast Marauders 9-24
Dayton Buckeyes vs. Papeete Pirate Pandas 38-14

The Elite 5:

Oklahoma Bears: So far these guys have been flawless. They are number 1 in the league and is also the only unbeaten team left. After man-handling the Havoc 45-27, they have proved that they are clearly a strong team. They didnt put up gaudy numbers against the Havoc, but they clearly put the points on. Cook Island better watch out, but the bears are really putting on a show for us.

Melbourne Dreadnoks: They were able to beat the Palau Pride 32-21. They are making a statement this year. They have only lost to the Havoc so far, but the Havoc just got crushed by the Oklahoma Bears. So are the Dreadnoks no better than #2 this year? We wont find out for a long while yet. Unfortunately for us, they dont play the Bears until Week 14. Regardless, the Dreadnoks are still a threat to anybody and everybody.

Tonga Havoc: A disappointing loss to the Bears, but the Havoc are looking to rebound against the Cannibals, which will be a tough game for both teams. This game is important for both teams, as it could determine playoffs seeds, even this early in the season.

Papua New Guinea Cannibals: A huge 91-6 win over the Gators, they are showing they are an elite team. They are Ranked 1st in the Conference in passing yards, but second to last in pass defense. Yet, they only give up 48 yards per game on the ground, so anyone who tries to run against this defense is eating dust. Next up is the Havoc, an important game as I stated above. The Cannibals are looking to over take the Havoc in the overall standings.

Palau Pride: They lost to the Dreadnoks in the Matchup of the Week, but they can take Pride(pun not intended) in knowing that they have come closer than most other teams. They are still ranked in the elite, so they shouldnt worry about moving down the ranks any more unless they get upset anytime soon. In two weeks they play the Havoc, so until then, the Pride stay right here.

Contenders:

E.C. Express: The Express are pushing hard to make it an Elite 6. If they beat the Orlando Gators by a good margin this week then they will move up. Beating the Storm brought back their confidence after losing to the Dreadnoks the week before. Their triple-threat backfield is still working for them, so they are still a major threat to any team.

Gold Coast Marauders: Just beat the Abusement Park 24-9, so they are now 4-1. Will they be able to shut down the Buckeyes? They have had a fairly easy schedule so far, but it will get harder soon enough.

Cook Island Cobras: After shutting out the Marshals, they have the tough task of taking on the Bears. Can they handle the Bears? The Bears have been hot, so it will be interesting to see if they can do anything.

Muddle Middle:

Dayton Buckeyes: They have won 2 straight, so now they are finally starting to roll, lets see how they do against Gold Coast.

AdamsTown Abusement Park: Sam I AM was shut down by Gold Coast, as you can see, when he doesnt perform, neither does the rest of the team.

Sacramento Gunslingers: They got their first win this season by crushing the Bugbears, and now that their schedule gets easier, they should win alot in the next few weeks.

Bottom Feeders:

Streator Storm: Another loss, but in their defense, they did play a powerhouse team.

Papeete Pirate Pandas: 3 straight losses, it doesnt look good for this team.

Buffalo Bugbears: After winning their first game, they have had nothing to brag about.

Road Kill:

Majuro Marshalls: Still havent won a game, and not likely to win one soon.

Orlando Gators: Whats new? Another loss, Gator fans you better get used to it.

Matchup of the week:

Tonga Havoc- Papua New Guinea Cannibals

This game could decide who gets the higher playoff birth. Which means it is an important game. Both teams are looking to win big here. Tonga Havoc are coming off a disappointing loss, and the Cannibals are coming off of 2 straight wins. So lets get ready for a great game people! Place your bets, because Tonga is looking to wreak Havoc in Papau, but the Cannibals are trying to eat their opponents alive!

I love it - great job again Deeds. I can't wait to hear your thoughts in week 8 when your Express play the Cann's. Both games in season 3 were really, really close.

Great job Deeds. And Tonga Havoc, is a great team glad we are past them. They are going to be hard to beat once the playoffs come around. They are still tweaking things and they are going to be hard to game plan against.

This is cool Deeds. I'm in Zeta, so haven't been following these teams real close, but it's cool to be able to come here and get a quick, entertaining picture of what's going on in Alpha.

Thank You.

Good game Bears. I'm sure we will match up again. We look forward to a good game with the Cannibals. The Bears owner is class act for the record.
