The West has been better with the 4-8 seeds since season 2, but the top tier teams have been just as good as the West, 1-3. Both confrences have had 1-3 teams that were clearly "better" teams throughout the seasoson. This season we have 5 of the "top" teams that really all will only end with loses to eachother. The West has never had 5 top teams, but like I said, their 4-8 teams have generally been better.
