Some comments

Vikings have most improved team overall in the league. True, other teams have picked up higher level players; however, the Vikings have improved collectively as a team. There are no wholes. We don't have the highest average level (I think we're 4 or 5 actually), but as long as we keep controlling the running game on both sides of the field, we're golden.

I like the Rams, but I feel as if they have hit a plateau. The fact that the entire team is made up of 3 owners has obvious pros, and some cons. All of the players are built well and all of the players boost - however, that only means an increase of 3 levels per season from boosting. Their policy of not signing other players means that they can't improve as much as others. You can already see their performance this year is much like their performance last season - mediocre until they hit the playoffs. The difference is that this season, boosting when they reach the playoffs will match the level of the league leaders, not surpass it.

Geez....maybe if I changed the name my team would get more respect. I think we have done well for sticking together and not rushing out to get higher level players after the cap was lifted. I mean no disrespect to those who did (nature of the game and all) but we have a good solid and balanced base. We get stronger with every level and we play to win. Good luck guys......

Nothing personal tsaun, I didn't look into it. If I did I'm sure I would've noticed more and put you guys higher... you actually have a good looking team, but to rank 32 teams in 5 minutes I sort of stopped caring after the top 8-10 If I get bored at work one day I'll get some more concrete rankings - and of course after the season develops.

I think Wetetnagami just gained a few spots! Nice to pull out a win against a higher ranked team.

Eastern Conference Rankings

1. Flin Flon Fighting Black Bears - This team has a ton of talent and their hardest games are at the end of the season which will help them build up their chemistry.

2. Vancouver Vikings - League champions and have been beating teams up for the past year. Should be an excellent game when they meet up with the Black Bears.

3. Manitoba Marauders - Knocked off a solid team in the Niagra Fall Sundowners to move up. A great group on the offensive side but not as comparatively leveled on D.

4. Twin City Cherry Pies - They've been crushing the teams they play but the real test will come this next week against the Vikings. If they win that game, they could easily shoot up to the top spot.

5. Niagra Falls Sundowners - Lost two straight but against quality teams. I look for them to have a great chance going into the playoffs when their chemistry recovers a bit.

6. Sunnyvale Trailer Park - A few good wins and could make it into the second round of the playoffs. Fairly solid at every position.

7. China Town Preachers - Solid team on the offensive side of the ball. If their defense plays well, they could move up the rankings. A win next week against the Marauders would shoot them up the board.

8. Bay City Brewers - Aside from the Vikings, the Brewers have chance to win most of their next games. These next few weeks will be critical if the Brew Crew want to make the playoffs.

9. Thunder Bay Lighting - They have potential with some good showings against the Bears but need to improve and maybe pulloff an upset to reach the playoffs.

10. Sackville Roughriders - The Roughriders play better than they look on paper. The team will be under leveled against many teams and will need solid gameplanning to reach the playoffs.

11. Montreal Hawaiian Punch - A team that benefits from its perfect chemistry. They need to take advantage of their solid chemistry and knock off teams in the early half of their schedule before teams build up their chemistry again. Better on the field than on paper.

12. Dronfield Jets - They have an outside shot at reaching the playoffs but are thin at a few positions including DT and CB. Need to get lucky to get in.

13. St. Clair Longhorns - Had a tough opening schedule and a low chemistry. Need to play at the end of the year and pull off several upsets to get in the top 10.

14. Oumchalouba Chunky Monkeys - A team that has no real weaknesses but no real strengths. They have okay players across the board but no real homerun threats. A tough out of conference game to end the season makes the playoffs a real big long shot.

15. Stillwater Cowboys - They have great players at a few positions such as QB and RB but lack depth on the line and in other key players. The Cowboys have a chance to knock off a few playoff contenders but don't expect anything big.

16. Hamilton Hellraisers - These guys won't be raising hell anytime soon, although they did almost knock off the Jets this past week. Need to fill in a few gaps with human players to contend.

I'll be compiling people's votes (one per team) after Saturday's games and likely post them Sunday at some point. I'll be doing it for week 4, 8, 12 and 16.
