gonna hafta go with my DC here and agree. If your settings weren't set right, it's not our fault. If that 'bug' caused you to convert and score repeatedly for the win, noone would be complaining. I wanna give some grats to the Corn Huskers for not shouting 'bug' when they lost what they thought was a bit of a sure thing.

Before you blame the sims, you should think about all the hard work that has gone in to make sure there aren't bugs, and you should show some respect and gratitude and just eat your cleats like good boys[1]...

All in all, it was a good game. Our players, our agents, our coaches all got valuable experience and I'm willing to say both our teams learned from a few mistakes. Better luck next time.

[1]'cuz from where I'm standing, there's a few people sitting around with their feet in their mouths.

He has no right? Look, I've got absolutely nothing to do with this conversation, but...he clearly has the right to say what he pleases. You may not like it and believe that he's got no justification for saying it, but the right is clearly his.

1) Who blamed the sims?

Goat is right, we did have some problems with our AI settings...but we're not going to blame the loss on that. We simply got beat...a 3-3 game at halftime turned into a 41-24 massacre and the fact that we always went for it on fourth down (i.e. - no punts, none at all) wouldn't have been a problem if we were scoring touchdowns.

2) I thought (in the statement below, and in a PM to your owner) that I did show "respect and gratitude"...tough I may not have chewed on my cleat "like a good boy."

I don't want to take anything away from the Hashishim and the game they played yesterday...they deserved to win.

I applaude you for being successful with the AI even before the ability to test it was implemented. We put in a lot of hard work as well, but must've missed something and it got tested (and failed) in a game situation.

In response to your Defensive Coordinator's statement...

That's only a few of your 4th down plays. What about the ones that you converted and went on to score? It goes both ways.

...I looked back over the game, and we converted only three successful fourth downs on scoring drives. One was on the FG at the end of the first quarter...and we were in field goal range before the 4th down was converted...so I'm not sure it really made any difference. The other two were on Touchdown drives in the 3rd & 4th quarters (one on your 40, the other on our own 42.5) and did have some influence on the outcome. However, compared to the eight (8) attempts we didn't convert...it seems paltry.

I have to side with the Salty Dogs on this one...

FLGator has been very graceful in defeat, and has complimented the Hashishim for their win, and credited it to them.

But to ignore the obvious fact that a slight AI miscalculation really did have a huge impact on the outcome, is pretty unfair.

I disagree our AI screwed up and you don't see me taking away from Halifax's win do you? We had the same thing going for it on 4th inside our own 30.... but hey that's life.

That is the thing, Gator is not taking away from their win.

He is simply pointing out the fact that his AI screwup cost them the game.

I mean look, he actually said the words "I don't want to take anything away from the Hashishim and the game they played yesterday...they deserved to win," so how is he taking away from their win in any way?

I hope people realize I wasn't criticizing gator at all. I just wish people would not whine about a "bug"... it can just as easily happen to the other team, and I think that all the gameplay unaffected by any "bug" speaks for itself. Both teams had good plays and bad plays.

I'm new here, but in my MMORPG experience, it's best to work within the system and improve rather than sit outside waiting (quietly or not) until it's fixed to your liking. I think gator is one of many people who understand this principle, and his tact was impeccable.

That is all...
