It's finally here! The regular season, which imo took way too long to come. Hope everyone had a good break from the game, time to get serious now. I personally like the ai (i'm an offensive guy, so i can't wait for them to go even further with it than they have), but there's still pinches and tweaks that are going on to get it right. The good news is that with the Stingers out of the picture, this conference is wide open, anyone can make a name for themselves with good gameplanning. The bad news is that several stats have been tweaked and old builds aren't as relevant as they once were. So rosters that once performed like greek gods of yore may now only be marble statues depicting their once great glory. we'll have to see it on the field. Without further ado, here's my chance to incorrectly pick 8 games, I'll do my best.
Dharma Initiative at Budapest Brawlers
This isn't the same Initiative that took to the fields of Oceania last season, they look leaner, meaner and more competitive. They're going to give the Brawlers a good old Zeta welcome, which in this sentence welcome means ass kicking. Hulk will plow through those cpu's all day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKEDhREPGjE&feature=related

Tasmanian Swarm at El Rancherito Mantas (formerly Noumea)
I'll give the Mantas a break, it's already been a tough season for them and it hasn't even started. Good luck on rebuilding. Tasmania is my sleeper pick for the season. A consistent and quality squad. They don't make much noise on the boards but they should keep you guessing when it comes to gameplanning.

Hamilton Falcons at ASRW
I'm not sure how the changes are going to affect different squads but ASRW should be able to outlast the Falcons for 4 quarters. I don't see ASRW blowing this one out but I also don't see the Falcons keeping it close either.

Lexington Armada at Devonport Devils

That about sums up the Armada's season coming out of the gates. Devils won't even break a sweat

Rockhampton Raiders at Guadalcanal Gunners
The Raiders are an enigma, last season they had some of the most talented players in all of Zeta (Dorsey, Wangledack and the Knuckles brothers) but couldn't find a way to use them effectively. The Gunners will be a good test for them to see if they've made any strides. The Gunners were ready for an all out assault on Zeta but Force Commander Bort has changed the rules of engagement. Still we have a madman running our D and if we have to play with one arm tied behind our backs we will.
Gunners by 13
Fiji Flying Foxes at Redcliffe Sharks
The Sharks LBer corp is undersized, and Speedy Wonder should be able to capitalize on that. Should be easy pickings for the Foxes.
Foxes by 24
Perth Pirates at Newcastle Mountain Lions
Lions D should be solid again this season and might repeat the 4 game shutout streak they had opening last season. The Lion Offense is still far behind the D's talent but the Pirates won't put up much of a fight. Blevins, Smith, Gentzke, and Chocula are the only players to be afraid of on the Pirate's D.
Lions win by 20
WSP at Brisbane Troyfins- This is going to be a good game between two rising stars. Both want to claw their way into the top 4 conversation, but one of them has to take the loss and the setback. I respect both clubs but think BT slightly edges them out with a little better talent up front.
