First off, you don't have enough LBs. You can't play with 3. You actually have a decently leveled defense, but the middle of it is going to fall apart due to running out of energy - which means the D has to play more snaps, because you can't stop the enemy, which means they run out of energy faster, which means the D has to play more snaps ...

Notice the only drive where you stopped them in the entire game was the first one.

Second, your MLB and CB2 are low levels. One is the most important guy on the field for stopping the run and the other is the most important guy on the field for stopping the pass. Add this to the energy problems (you have a capable backup CB, but he isn't set to back up the CB2 spot) and you get a game where your O is never on the field.

Your O has problems, too, like no WR1 set, no backup WRs set, not enough WRs. However it's a lot closer to working than your D.

The match up screen doesn't mean anything. It just shows you levels not quality of build.

Not completely true

The bars actually do have quite a bit to do with quality of build, but equipment can enhance things quite a bit.

That's one great example, I have to say. Good pull, man.

I am curious why you feel the CB2 spot is the most important position for stopping the pass.

Care to share?

Because the pass rush isn't nearly as disruptive in GLB as it is in RL. Unless your OL is getting totally dominated, your pass defense is roughly as good as your worst coverage matchup. That's generally the #1 WR vs. the #2 CB, though it can vary. I'm willing to bet the OP isn't using a lot of the advanced D features that can cause the "hot" position to move around.
