A true 3-4 should have speed at OLB and power in the middle. The difference between the 3-4, and a 5-2 is the blitz can come from all angles. This makes it tougher on all offensive players to read the defense. That is also why MLB's in 4-3's have a tough transition to a 3-4, because instead of roaming free, they have to take on guards the whole game.
