Yeah, I only have 3 holes to fill as well. But my GMS and I were planning all of this before the playoffs even started.

I guess blocking is easier than, "Sorry, I signed somewhere else. But whatever.

Sometimes I feel like just firing everyone and signing a bunch of punters to play on my team!

40 Punters, and may just maybe 1 Kicker for good luck.

Here's how I do it. I go out and send out HUNDREDS of PM's to anyone I think would help the team. Out of 100 PM's you'll get about 20 guys interested, and of those 20, 5 of them will actually be good builds and have good owners you can usually take your pick and sign 1 of them. Note, there will also be a couple dick heads who will laugh at you for even asking, but MOST people are very courteous.

After all that work, I generally have 2 or 3 HIGH quality agents with good players to choose from for the possition I'm trying to fill so I can take my pick.

It's a butt load of work, but it pays off.

But I don't send offers out until I get a PM back from someone who says "Yeah, I want to play for you guys, send me an offer and I'll accept it right now."...or along those lines.

I get the math by the fact that I've sent out aproximately 600 PM's this offseason, and I've signed a Lvl 21 RT, a Lvl 16 LT, a Lvl 20 WR and a Lvl 23 HB. I also have a few more WR's I'm mulling over, I'm going to sign one of them. So 5 high quality signings out of 600 PM's.

The good thing is, that after all this work, I won't have to do it again next year. Our team will already be set and we may have to find 1 or 2 players, rather than 10 or so.

yep the hard work pays off. I must have filled my outbox about 2 or 3 times with the amount of PMs i sent out, but i finally got the guys i wanted in the end. Team chemistry is shot to hell, but the team is looking good and is well set up for the next couple of seasons. Watch out Flappin'

Oh, don't you worry... Now that I'm pretty much done recruiting for the offense, I'm going to go get us a few big defensive FA's. Your kicker dosen't stand a chance!

I only recruited to positions that i was losing players at. Constantly going out and recruiting high level mecenaries that jump from team to team each year doesn;t interest me.

Does anyone know if the "sportsmanship" level bonus/penalty is in effect this year?
