That was one awesome game. Too bad we were on the losing side of it! Well played, great season guys, and hopefully we'll meet up with you guys in the finals of next season!

What a game!
We tried to keep you in front of us and you really took advantage... Great job of containing our O. I can't believe we could not get on the board until 1/2 way through the 3rd. WOW.
What a nail bitter... You were driving late, on our 15, w/ 1 minute for the tying or go ahead score. Our CB depth and talent saved us with an INT... and stunned you.
You will be certainly a favorite to move up next season. Nice representation of the East... although clearly the inferior conference ...
See you next season in the USA AA.

good game guys congrats
wow... Vaughn threw it behind him it looks, on the 1st pass. The 2nd pass, our CB just made the jump on the ball. Brady had some throws like that as well... only they were fortunately just deflections.
Nice QB you have in Vaughn... he's just not perfect.... none are.
Nice game, again.

We've won the turnover battle all year. I think we only lost it in one game, and that was that first one against the Cowbells that we almost lost. It's what we do.

With all due respect to the Sharks, they won't be. There are way too many really good teams in USA AA#2 East for the Sharks to be a favorite to win the conference. They might win the conference. But the Hounds, Paladins, Stalkers, Bisons, Voodoo and PAIN are all significant obstacles to that goal.
The preseason favorite is going to be the Hounds. Of course, the addition of the two Shark franchises is not going to make the road to the playoffs any easier.
There are 9 teams that will outlevel North Shore, most of which have very good player builds to boot. I don't say this as a put down to the North Shore Sharks - I just want to let them know what they are getting into. We found out the hard way.
That said, the PAIN is the only team promoted into the league last year that didn't play in the Conference Championship games, so maybe they will be the favorite.

I was looking at that, we will have our work cut out for us next year. But we like playing that underdog role

Yup.
I'd prefer them to not expect anything from us.

I think that the USA A reps from last season have ensured that they will take your team very seriously. They know that they are getting the cream of the crop. You won't be an underdog. You'll be one of about 10 dogs fighting for 8 playoff spots.
It certainly makes the season interesting though, and challenging. Which is a good thing.

I just hope that when we play you next year, we don't lose 30 - 0 like we did to you in season 2.

You guys certainly have come a long way since those days. At this point, we'll rate the game a "Pick 'Em" and see what happens. We're a pretty confident team, and we like our chances against anyone - but we had to eat 5 losses this year. And only one of them was a bit of a surprise. The Hounds are an absurd team - rivaled only by the Doomsday Sin who made a brief stop in our league on their way to AAA.
It's a great conference though, and we like that it's a tough place to compete and get wins. The Sins leaving make it a little easier, but the arrival of the two new Sharks franchises makes it even harder.
Welcome aboard! The Longhorns seem like they have a much better chance of moving up again, as the West definitely seems like the weaker conference with the loss of the Monkeys and Crush.
Now that I think about it, the PAIN are all by our lonesome now as USA A reps. The Sin and Monkeys moved up again, and the Crush were dismantled immediately upon losing the Western Conference Championship.
Edit to add: Our wakeup call came in Week 3. We opened the season with two shutouts, and were pretty confident going up against the Hounds. They were a team that rushed the ball 70% of the time, and the PAIN was riding a streak of 86 quarters without allowing a rushing TD. We loaded up to stop the run - and promptly watched the Hounds blow right through us, getting 8 yards per carry on the opening drive, capped off by a rushing TD. We met them again in the second round of the playoffs. Lather, rinse, repeat. It *sucks* knowing that a team is going to run on almost every down - and knowing that you can't stop it - even though stopping that is the strength of your defense.
