I agree, loyalty to players is a must, but to be competitive with most of the teams is all you could really ask for. You wouldn't have to win the whole shebang - just compete!

Whats up boys, nice to see you are already preparing for the Punks arrival. We don't plan on staying long

I for one would be really pissed if the level cap isn't lifted this off-season like it is supposed to be. A 13th level player isn't a starter coming in to this league anymore.

I know that for my own team there will be a few changes. Nearly every player joining my team is over level 13. Guys leave for various reasons (playing time, buying a team or a friend buys a team).. You have to get rid of guys that go inactive and aren't helping your team progress. For one thing, I over-recruited some positions in the expectation that a lot of guys would defect at the end of the year. That didn't really happen. So, now I'm in the unenviable position of telling guys I'm not going to be offering them new contracts, and it has nothing to do with anything they've done or not done.

Different topic altogether there, I guess. Bottom line is that the level cap was stated as lasting for only one season. If that changes now, I will not be happy about it.

I'm going on Bort's word that this league would have the cap lifted after the season. With that said, I don't plan on bringing in a ton of "ringers" to help us out. Our team is pretty tight as is and we have a pretty solid group of guys. We know we have a little bit of work to do, but overall I'm happy with how this season went.

And remember there is history now. So we all have an idea of what the strengths and weaknesses of the other teams. I think next year will be very competitive. I will even go so far as to say no team will go undefeated... Except for the Hammers. j/k

Next year there may still be some disparity, but the year after that I see a really solid league.

Reason I said earlier that the teams that lose in the conference finals will be the "teams to beat" next season, at least initially. No offense meant to the Punks or any other team should they make their way here, but the fact remains there is no tremendous skill advantage coming in. Thus, the knowledge of the other teams in the league by those that have spent a year here already will play into their favor. So it stands to my rationale that the two teams that got the farthest without making the championship game and moving up will have to be considered the favorites until proven otherwise next season.

I am also standing pat as much as I can but, like other teams, I have had to go out and find replacement players. If the level cap is not lifted, and I see no reason why it would not be, I'll need to start over recruiting.

I might be bringnig in 6 or so players next year. Just depends.

I asked about this in the forums a while back, a mod says after the playoffs the cap will be removed.. here's the post.
