But hey, even guys like Housh play in the slot, and you can't even deny that he's one of the top WR's.

And you say 34 sacks has never been done before?

Hardly "never been done before"

Ok. It's been done before. By around 6 players or so in the game. The WR numbers have been put up by probably a couple hundred players. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve something, just not the entire league MVP. Offensive yes but not overall.

Those are just a few guys I found in a 5 minute search, who knows how many others who have done it?

Either way, he's obviously not that great if he can't carry a team to a win in the playoffs when it really counts.

I'll take 3 TD's over 60 yards over a few tackles.

And he is the league's MVP.
Without him, we don't even so much as sniff the playoffs. Without him, you still probably make the playoffs, but your D isn't quite as good.

Also just a quick note, you say your up against the other teams best OT most of the time? That's wrong. Most teams keep the best pass blocker at LT, while your up against the RT which is a better run blocker.

So thats essentially the same type of thing as moving Open to #2 and 3 WR

We are talking season MVP. That has nothing to do with the playoffs.

Yet he wrote League MVP and included playoff stats.

Read the title of the thread again... League MVP and Playoff MVP

Not to mention that was in the playoffs against two of the top teams in this league.

EDIT: And if you want to make the argument that it's a flaw in the sim... yadda yadda, well I could say the same thing about the position you play. There is no way in the sim that I could hold a FB in the pocket to cut block you. There is no way I can have a HB chip you on his way out for the screen pass. There is no was I can dictate a double team on your man to slow you down. Same argument.

My two cents:

IM OPEN had a great season, he is the #1 WR in our conference. From the sound of things, he is definitely the team's MVP. But there are several other guys from this conference also put up great numbers during the regular season, couple of QBs and RBs that led their team to a better record during the regular season. That in my books would probably weigh a little more than player's impact on the team. Call me old school, but I really think that the regular season league MVP should be from one of the top teams in the regular season (preferably from the top 3 team). My vote for the regular season MVP would probably be Charlie K.

With that said, I do think if playoffs ends today, IM OPEN would be the playoff MVP, there is no doubt in my mind that he was the difference maker in those two games. Those long TDs does more than put 6 points on the board, it changes how the game is called the rest of the way.

So regular season league MVP: No (probably in top 5)
Playoff MVP: Yes (so far at least)

Having a guy that you can throw the ball too that can take it to the house like he can, has been very exciting. I really wish my QB would have been here all season, the kinda numbers we coulda put up together mighta been silly.

I dont get why you guys care about "a title" that doesnt mean anything

Because it's part of the game as much as "the championship" is such. Why play if you're not trying to be the best at something... whether it's best in the league, best in the conference, best on the team, best at a position... that's why people care.

In the big picture of things, you are correct. It's just a game and a meaningless title.

preach my brotha!

best receiver in the league would take on the best corner, not be put in the third spot to exploit a flaw in that game, that you cant pick a set matchup. example would be you could select the corner and have it to where he covered that receiver no matter what slot he was in, like real life. i m open is good i admit, but he is over rated and has his stats padded by taking on the 3rd corner

no wonder everyone hates you...

at least i dont exploit the game, and then call it "good gameplanning"...

Wow. This coming from the creator of "how to scout if u want 16-0." Guess you got the scouting [script] down, but not the gameplanning?

They owned your ass. Get over it and shut the fuck up. If you were too stupid to match up your best corner with their best receiver, then you deserve to go 0-16. Too bad someone else on your team had some sense or you'd be relegated and we wouldn't have to deal with you for another season.

Wow.... haha.... nice... revenge is sweet. (evil grin)
