lol...well, if it makes you hard winning some scrimmage games, more power to you. but to think that scrimmages are an accurate predicter of which conference is better, then you are just plain wrong. they mean nothing. one of my teams last year went 15-1, lost early in the playoffs and lost all their scrimmage game after that. and this year, we are the #1 team in the league again. some players want to train on intense during the whole off-season and rather not play in games so they don't have full energy, some teams want to try wacky tactics to see if it works. it's like preseason...go check the pre-season record of all the top teams in the NFl and you will see a similar trend...pre-season means nothing and is not a predicter of which teams will be successful during the regular season.

While I'll agree to show degree but winning out, even in scrimmages is a moral boost for the entire team, even if your kinda playing around BUT energy is not a factor in scrimmages, they can train to their hearts content on intense and it makes no difference in games.

I think scrimmages are a great opportunity to see what your team is capable of or to see what happens if you do something extreme like goo 100% blitz or no blitz at all. but different teams will have different agendas during pre-season games. don't get me wrong, i love to win as much as the next guy but i think it's a stretch to make any conclusions based on the results of scrimmage games.

That's good to know about energy in scrimmages...did not know that. learn something new every day!

i know hes not saying it but some inside info says bort is keep everyones energy at 100 for the training because he's testing out the advanced tactics in select leagues... my "insider" tipped that one to me, has anyone tried really gettin into it for a scrimmage yet...?

i have to agree with you...i drew two of the top alpha teams for my scrimmages because of the playoff losses...i know we will test out a few tactics just to see what happens...i would rather learn a little about how the sim is going to react with some of these various settings than to sit around and brag about alpha being better than zeta and vice versa...

I've got to admit that the alpha is better. This is the syracuse sashers New OC and were 2-1 in scrimage games so far

welcome to the league bro and hope next season is a successful one for you but i'm going to have to disagree with your assessment.

venice just beat alpha's top dog fairly easily and brussels tore through the alpha conference playoffs. scrimmages mean nothing...

WOW. CONGRATS!

Your scrimmage opponents has a combined record of 13 and 51. A staggering 25%! Can't believe you survived that gauntlet...very impressive.

And yes, that means ALPHA is definitely better.

their is no way to tell whose conference is better. scrimmage games mean nothing whether a team wins or loses. Since no conference its head and shoulders above the other it is impossible to tell.

All this statement shows me is that Venice may be better than every team in the Alpha Conference. It doesnt prove that Zeta is better than Alpha.

I agree...but I think that greatly weakens the argument that alpha is better. I didn't say zeta was better than alpha...all we know is Venice was the best team in the league. Just cuz we lost to them by 1 pt doesn't mean we would have won the championship game.

scrimmages are a joke...ppl try different tactical settings, some work, some dont...i know we weren't trying to win the games just for the sake of this argument...we wanted to see how the sim would react to certain tactical settings...i think top to bottom alpha is more balanced, but it looks like zeta had the best overall team...
