probably has to do with points scored........i am working on the formula for next year.......those things are a pain in the ass..........sigh
example.........

(avg score x 6) + [(high score + low score) x 2] +[ (winning % x 200) x 2]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
/10

that is the score part, i will be softening up the effect somehow...........patience
i think, if you had a blowout (just one) it really affected your power points, or. if you got shut out once, it slammed you good too.

I think scrimmage games should be included I'd finally get above Loch Ness like we deserve No offense to Loch Ness but we are the better team right now.

scrimmage games should NOT be counted IMO.

Foy did not start any of it's regular season starters, nor did we scout the other teams, or use tactics we felt would give us the best chance of winning.

Scrimmage games are just that....scrimmages.

I told ya Berlin would cover the spread.

We won our scrimmage game, but I didn't spend 1 second looking at the Marcy Projects, nor did I change the game plan from the berlin game. I assume most people don't give a shit about scrimmage games so no reason to count them.

If you're up for suggestions about improving the formula, might I suggest 2 things? One, can you try to include a way to rate the most recent games more heavily? I think that may make them just a tad more accurate.

Also, I would use point differential as opposed to straight-up points scored. I'd also use some type of sliding scale on those points. Beating a lower-leveled team by 100 shouldn't rate a whole lot more than beating a lower-leveled team by 50, should it?

Just my 2 cents. Either way, keep up the great work on the ratings, I enjoy reading them.

I think what i am going to do, is throw out the highest score and the lowest score (after 4 games) that would be the easiest to put into my spreadsheet, and i think it would accomplish close to what you are sayin.........
