1st Team Zeta All-Pro, brought to you by RTGC
Offense:
QB - Coop A. Sonic
*Great season and fell just short of being a 1st teamer.
RB - Matches Burnshot, Chernobyl Radionuclides
*Stood out as the 2nd best back in the league with a 5.3 YPC average and 12 TDs.
FB - El Plowo, Warsaw Warriors
*The lead blocker in Warsaw's powerful running game also collected 6 TDs.
TE - Aja Maki, Chernobyl Radionuclides
*900 yards and 7 TDs rank a not-so-distant second to Warsaw's Taylor.
WR1 - Peter Gresnik, Warsaw Warriors
*Warsaw's slot man put together a great season despite being surrounded by other true weapons.
WR2 - Sean Lachapelle, Carluke Cobras
*Lachapelle was a bright spot for the Cobras offense and had some of his best games vs. tough opponents.
Offensive Line -
OT -
T-Lo, Warsaw Warriors
*Didn't allow a sack all season, plus 71 pancakes to boot!
Huge Sumo Man, Hat Creek Cattle Company
*Solid blocker who shut down many of Zeta's top passrushers.
OG -
Mike Andrews, Hagenau Coyotes
*Even without the Chernobyl (Bratislava) game, still racked up over 100 pancakes.
Beat Downd, Warsaw Warriors
*Didn't rack up the huge pancake numbers but, make no mistake, this is the guy clearing the holes for the best rushing attack in Zeta.
C -
Turncoat Billy, Hat Creek Cattle Company
*A key cog in a very good line.
Defense:
LE - Dave Randolph, Warsaw Warriors
*Easily one of the top 2 LEs in Zeta. Randolph racked up 6 sacks and a pile of hurries.
RE - Tony Percival, St. Petersburg Storm
*This is my homer pick. It's a close call between Percival and Bud Wieser, but Percival put up more Sacks and FFum, and almost as many hurries and TFLs in while playing 30% fewer snaps.
DT - Mike Flores, Tricity Hares
*Very talented DT. The scary part is the Hares have recently moved him to the bench after some acquisitions. The Headhunters should look out!
NT - WhyBother Running?, London Head Hunters
*Racked up a nice sack total barreling up the middle for one of Zeta's top defensive units.
LOLB - p willy, Grodno Buckaroos
*One of the leagues leading tacklers. Word is, he can make RBs fumble just by looking at them.
ROLB - Exoskeleton Powers, London Head Hunters
*DIdn't rack up huge stats playing on a top defense, but this guy has impressed me. Rarely misses an assignment and is valuable beyond his stats.
MLB - Bojan Mrdjanov, Subotica Scorpions
*This guy is a real playmaker on a bad team. Racks up tons of tackles and is also very adept at pressuring the QB and creating turnovers.
CB - Manchester Dagmar, Chernobyl Radionuclides
*Very solid corner with a nose for the ball.
CB - Justin Slagel, Warsaw Warriors
*One of the best cover guys in Zeta.
SS - Freddie Kirkwood, Tricity Hares
*Always in the right place in coverage - picked up 5 INTs this season.
FS - Shawn Williams, London Head Hunters
*Normally tons of tackles from a FS is a bad sign. However, when your defense is one of the league's best, it indicates amazing talent.
Special Teams:
K - Howard Phillips, Hat Creek Cattle Company
*Most accurate K in Zeta.
P - Ryan Bomber - Warsaw Warriors
*Why do the Warriors need a good punter?!?
