Secured playoff positioning:
1. Texas (15-0) - Secured home field throughout the conference playoffs.
2. Cleveland (14-1) - Secured home field through the second round.
3. Casablanca (12-3) - Secured home field through the first round.
4. Carthage (11-4) - Secured home field through the first round.

Current positioning:
5. Egypt (9-7)
6. Cairo (9-7)
7. Algeria (9-7)
8. Congo (9-7)

Tie Breaker, First Level - Head to Head Records:
1. Egypt and Cairo are 2-1 against the 3 other teams they are tied with.
2. Algeria and Congo are 1-2 against the 3 other teams they are tied with.

Tie Breaker, Second Level - Points Scored:
1a. Egypt: 296 points scored
1b. Cairo: 256 points scored
2a. Algeria: 294 points scored
2b. Congo: 292 points scored

Scenarios
if Egypt and Cairo win...
- Cairo would have to beat their opponent by more than 40 points than Egypt beats their opponent to take the #5 position.
- and Algeria and Congo win, the tie breaker would be decided by points scored for #7.
- and Algeria or Congo lose, the loser would claim the #8 place.

If either Egypt or Cairo loses, the winner of Egypt or Cairo takes #5...
- and Algeria or Congo wins; the winner of Algeria or Congo would take #6. The loser of Egypt of Cairo would take #7 while the loser of Congo of Algeria takes #8.
- and Algeria and Congo loses; the tie breakers will come down to points scored between Algeria and Congo would decide #7 and #8.

If Egypt and Cairo lose...
- and Algeria and Congo win; points scored will decide who will take #5 between Algeria and Congo while points scored decides #7 between Egypt and Cairo.
- and Algeria or Congo win; the winner would claim #5, Egypt and Cairo would be decided by points scored and the loser between Congo and Algeria would take #8.

I think I pretty covered how things could go with the edit. As mentioned, head-to-head against the tied teams decides the top rank initially and then it comes down to points scored then points allowed.

position 5 through 8 all are 9-6 and the 5th seed would actually play the 4th seed highest vs lowest and so on from there so 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, you get the picture.

Ya, I like that there is still some good excitement up through game 16. Who knows how 5-8 will pan out!

Yes and you could be anywhere from #5 to #8. Basically if Egypt and Cairo both win, you're 7 or 8. The rest you'll have to figure out since I'm impatient after a few beers.

No doubt, assuming we make it past the first round, we should be able to fill out our lower bowl on the stadium. That would be a huge financial relief for next season and hopefully it would just pile on from there. I've been a complete tight ass this first season.

I just started with whoever was ranked highest at the time and was going to go from there. There's that whole thing about the 50 million different possibilities that I didn't care to go through. I was hoping you guys could figure out the rest from the tie breaker info that I posted. It was rather interesting to see how close you all were in points scored though.

Edited for accuracy. I've had a few beers, so I may have missed something.

I think that points scored is a bunch of crap it should go off of differential how much you scored vs how much you gave up, points scored just gives more offensive teams the advantage my team loses on points most likely because we only score 17 a game but we only give up just over 10 a game.

My predictions:

Egypt wins over Djibouti, claims #5 and Carthage.
Cairo wins over Ethiopia, claims #6 and Casablanca.
Congo wins over Rwanda, claims #7 and Cleveland.
Algeria loses to Zanzibar, claims #8 and Texas.

You forgot that Cairo beat us, we're both 10-6 and Cairo gets the nod because of the head-to-head.

Actually, it goes by complete head-to-head and not individual head-to-head records in my prediction. However, since both Congo and Algeria lost, it will go by your individual head-to-head record.
