Warrior General Games

Yeah I like the idea behind this thread but you can see exactly why it got out of hand.
Some suggestions for next season:

1) All Owners and GMs can vote.
2) Each Owner and GM can cast one vote per starting position per conference as well as one vote for Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Owner of the year - you're not required to vote for both conferences but you can.
3) You can NOT vote for anyone on your own team.
4) All votes must be submitted via PM to so-and-so. Votes posted within this thread will NOT be counted.
5) All votes must be recieved by such-and-such date. No exceptions.
6) Feel free to use this thread for campiagining purposes. Updates will be made to the original post.

...maybe even provide a basic ballot format so it's easy to sort through them as they come in.

If our team is still in this league next season I'd be happy to take this on if nobody else wants to.

Don't like 1 because teams don't have to have GMs.
Don't like 3 because you shouldn't have to vote for a player that isn't best just because he's not on your team.

Just my opinions. And there was a basic ballot this year in the PM from liltman53.

Dude.... First of all the campaigning for a kicker was a joke. Are you really not that sharp to pick that up?

I took the time to go through the stats and look at the players from my own conference and submitted a sheet. I did my due diligence, I didn't need people lobbying for their own player to influence me.

People take this crap way too seriously.

GM's shouldn't have a vote because not every team has one.

As for not voting for your own player even if people submitted an all conference ballot with their all their own players it wouldn't matter because it wouldn't be like stuffing the ballot box. You just have to hope that people approach this in an honorable way.

1 and 3 are complimentary.

If you have 3, it doesn't matter if you have 1. You can't "fix" the vote because you can't vote for your own players anyway.

I thought it would be nice to give GMs a voice with #1 cuz they put in a lot of work and generally understand who's a good player and who isn't.

Man, SS Ali Bee out of the Lion Conference is getting no love. He has better stats in every category than every SS listed so far. Where's the love man, where the love ?!?!?

I'm actually in the process of getting everything counted up ! will be up by the end of the night.

Just got home from vacation today so I am going to go stop by a friends house.

I don't see why? the Fears GM's did alot more work and signings than i did and have led out team to a perfect season.

I like everything except for owners can't vote for any of their own players. I think owners should be able to elect two or three of their own players. One from Defense, one from offense and then a random guy either a special teamer (kicker, punter or return man) or someone else on offense or defense. Out of 26 players (11 on offense 11 on defense and k,p,kr,pr) if an owner only elects two of their own it allows them to really help out a player on their team that they think is truely all star worthy and they are still voting 24 players from other teams. This will help keep people from getting upset if someone from their team doesn't make it that they felt truely deserved it because they can have a vote for them. Also limiting the number to two means they can't just fill their ballots with their own team. Every team has at least 1 all star talent on their team there are too many players on GLB for there not to be.

I know that the votes have already been tallied, but I was just making this suggestion for next season.

I didn't mean to be ruude. Just sounddd like the work wasnt appreciated.
But I am not sure who would be doing it next year. I will be in AAA and hope you'll get something together to keep this place alive. It was something very interesting to look at.
