Oh boy. You went there with me. I'll try to keep it short. Ish. Maybe.

From what I can tell, a single point of Punting is worth about 2-3 points in Strength (just in added distance). So you can use it to really drive your distance up while keeping lower Strength (if you want a more well-rounded build), or you can drive Strength up as well to give your guy a massive leg.

Overall, I liked the build. I would go less Strength to add more Jumping and Speed. I also think Agility is really underrated for Coffin Corner accuracy, but I don't have anything other than a hunch on that one.

So if he was going for max distance, drop Strength to 93 to get Jumping up 10 and Speed to at least 40. If he wanted a more well-wounded build, then drop Strength to about 88 to also take Agility to 60-65.

My own Punter regularly kicks 65+ yarders, and he only has 163 Punting and 88 Strength. The 70 Jumping and 50 Speed help bring it up a bit, I think.

That's a very detailed and thought-out analysis. I would hope anyone considering a future punting or kicking build would copy your words. The punting advice they could use right away, and I'm guessing you have thoughts on kicking too, but we could do that another day!

Thanks for sharing this with us all.

Kickers and Punters are a one-of-a-kind build because of the high ALGs (only 6 total), lack of good AEQ, and general lack of interest. I love making Punters especially, and I hope to eventually be known as the guy who makes spectacular Punters. I don't know how much competition I'll have for that, or if anyone will ever care enough (other than me) for it to matter, but it's my goal nonetheless.

This one's up in the air for me. The description makes it sound like it's only really a big deal in regards to morale and "high-pressure" moments, but trying to figure out what qualifies as a high-pressure moment, and how big of an affect Confidence actually has, is going to be a whole other sack of potatoes. It does seem to help remove the worst punting rolls, from what I can see, but the overall effect on punting distance or coffin corner accuracy is gonna be a bit more nebulous to figure out.

Here is my current Punter on BIA: https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4876752

Thoughts, Comments? Just adding this as you showed one with a lower EL, but higher Punting. I normally go for overall build as coffin corner accuracy can be a DC's best friend. Of course, the Offense has something to play into that equation as well to how many opportunities will be afforded to the Punter as the Offense's job is to score points. However, if a drive stalls out pinning your opponent deep is a definite advantage and help to the Defense.

That's a damn good build. I think Agility might help you be even more accurate. Stamina in my experience only ever needs to go up to 25-ish. If your Punter is legit getting tired, your team is losing by 50+ anyways. I'd take that extra training an bump Speed to at least 30. It makes more of a difference than it should.

Also, get Clutch. Yes, it matters. I can all but guarantee that you'll notice a difference immediately.

But yeah. That build is sick.

Damn. That's a nice build. Have you tried Agility/Jumping to 65-70 or Speed to 40-50?

not yet. Speed needs a raise for sure, around 35.
