Add the first upgrade to an SA or % chance? From what I understand dots get their % chance bonuses from their AEQ, just checking what the best way to upgrade is. Thanks!

generally speaking, I'd roll with the % gear first. Takes a while for the SA to ever do anything when you're first getting AEQ but that 5% at the end of a roll battle? Yeah that's a great one to start wearing asap.

I typically do the initial +6 Attribute Bonus and the +1 SA Tree Bonus to start, and wait until the end of the build to choose the other 3 Bonuses. At that point you should know what you need to finish out the build. Using AEQ/CEQ to take an SA up to 10+ can be more efficient and allow you to spend SPs elsewhere, but personally I ensure my +% bonuses are in order before doing so.

If you don't care about any of that and you're just looking for the boost right now, I'd agree that this is the correct answer ^

And in terms of Advanced EQ, I focus on % chance there too right? That's how you see most (well built) dots with 15-20% chance to do something on their profile pages?

You definitely won't screw up your dot if you follow that.

All you have to know is which % you want.

Yes, % gear is very important. There are differing opinions, but I like to have 2 for each thing I want my dot to do. Like if you have a intercept LB or CB, you would want 2 intercept chance and (imo) 2 avoid fake pieces. Then you may use your custom on make tackle chance for ex. or maybe an SA.

Also keep in mind if you did something like fake chance or break tackle chance on a dot, that having points in the related SAs is a must.

Definitely. If you're building a 4-AEQ dot, you could probably even use 1-AEQ on an SA.

This isn't a direct suggestion, just as a specific example: on your Pass Rush DE, I might try to get a Break Block Piece (I see you started that via CEQ) and a couple Make Tackle pieces. So maybe something like +22.5% Make Tackle/+21% Break Block (2-AEQ in Make Tackle, 1-AEQ + CEQ in Break Block).

There is no best way. It depends on position and how shopping went. Some positions use multiple %'s whereas other, only one % piece so there isn't a pat answer.

Be specific and then you can get an accurate direction.
