Also while I agree with buying a franchise being great, you’re also raising the barrier of entry from “Make an account and try it out.” To “Pay $12 each to try it out.” Its like dipping your toe in to see if the water vs. just jumping straight in. Keeping that barrier of entry low lets people in, and then after a season or two if they decide they like it they convert into a franchise owner.
…or maybe they don’t but make a bunch of players. Either way Bort makes $$$ and the game is healthier. But if you leave players that just want to try it out, or only make players, or only play on CPU teams without options, they’re more likely to leave.
You can get a non franchise for 500 flex. its not as good but a cheaper option to start with just a few dots each.
