the 'stepping out of bounds early' thing is mostly your back trying a fake and failing a footwork check - as you get that to much higher levels you start to pull a lot more of those fakes successfully cutting back in-field. Elusive likes to step out, but it will do it at the same distance as slippery and combo will - the early stepping out is almost always a failed fake.
Slippery 'wants' to go straight up field - so if you have a lot of quickness and sprint and a moderate amount of footwork it will act like a 'one cut' style - especially with a decent amount of awareness. But if your awareness is too high he will worry about too many players at one time to make a good solid one cut decision, so it's best to keep it midling and focus on skills like elusive running and quickness - though be sure not to let balance fall more than 20 ahead of quick or the cuts won't be as clean as they can be.
I’ll check back in once our physicals have balanced out better. Our HB isn’t the fastest, but has the highest awareness right now so I think we’ll use him as our data dummy.
