There are three contract tiers. Low, Medium and High. Low contracts limit players to 50% chemistry with the team. High contracts give the player +25 in Heart. Like in real life, Heart is the skill that makes other skills work. So High contract for everyone we can afford is good.

Yes it makes a big difference for CPU players too. Not to mention the 50% boost in team chemistry.

If your roster is mostly CPU you'll run out of roster space before the salary cap.
