Players running with the ball will avoid defenders who are blocked but have no qualms going right by the interaction- they won't try to actively fake out or brace for an impact against someone who is blocked.

But they will when a player is on the ground. They should use the exact logic they do for blocked players, it's a lot faster and easier for a player to shed a block- usually- than to stand back up.

Here you can see the HB weirdly sidestep and put on the elusive moves - even having brace for impact proc because he is convinced this downed player is going to grab him, if HBs did this around blocked players they'd never move the ball at all. So please, can we make the logic a ballcarrier uses treat a downed player the same as one who has an engaged block on him?

Yup, if the player stays around the downed player too long, it skips the stand up animation when he tackles the runner.

Yup, the worst part about this is exactly that, the back doesn't register 'run away' when they see someone who, to them, is massively off balance and just standing there with no momentum. He's basically a 'free broken tackle' when he's choosing his path, but he can't get the tackle attempt to start.
