In my experience, many players do not like Journeymen vs Pro ladder match ups.
Could we have 2 leagues per tier with at least 3 player owned teams in each tier? At least 1 player owned team per division hopefully 4 or more.
Also split the teams up by their previous season’s record. This way stronger teams play each other in league play and weaker or less experienced teams play each other in league play.
Ladder matches would be against a team from the other league.
I think this would help solve the dreaded, horrible Journeymen - Pro ladder matches, add some parity to leagues and possibly, hopefully help us retain players

Or they could just do away with ladder all together and play in your league teams play 3 times.

Terrible idea. Agerm is on to something. But to just remove ladder so now you dont play other leagues in your own tier, doesnt make much sense and takes away 50% of the game basis.

The ladder pairings are RIDICULOUS!!! I coach two of the top Journeymen teams and they are both paired up against pretty damn good VET teams this week. It is bad enough having to play up 1 tier, but up 2 tiers against good teams??? I will not even bother to scout, game plan or watch either game. Something has to change. I am getting to the point where I am ready to quit GLB2!

Yeah lets keep doing this though.. keep it for rookie and sophomore and get rid of it for Journeyman and up, Legendary doesn't play ladder games so it's possible.

The only problem with doing away with ladder matches after Rookie and Sophomore is Journeymen and above lose games. I think my proposal solves the problem and also creates parity in leagues as well.

I think you missed the part where i said have teams play 3 times (28), and maybe 2 teams in your division to round to 30 i said it in my first post, or actually maybe giving two game extra xp for the loss of the two games.

I did see that and forgot. I definitely like that idea more than what we currently have in place.

If we had a larger user base I would agree really fast. But at this point to have to play the same team 4+ times a season can get old, really old if you are in a not very competitive league too.

Current Sophomore tier is strong enough at the moment it could play only ladder against itself if teams stick around. But most tiers get so small by journeyman and Pro it would dull the game so much.

Personally, I like the matchups between Journeyman & Pro - it’s a fun way to test your tactics and current development track. It’s kind of a transitional, developmental season in my opinion. Plus, the league matchups are so much better considering users are focusing on those games more heavily.
