Asking for passing fixes is “bitching”, yet the mechanisms around running have been broken since season 1 and nothing has changed. Aside from the “nerf to power rushing” (which you only notice if you aren’t at 100PR and 100 Balance), running is fine.

I’m confused. Either make things equal between the two so that balanced actually means balanced (nerf/buff, i don’t care. Passing is still bad, just flashier now with the extreme/excessive stuns) or boost tackling and fix the blitz angles & tagging on many of the man plays & rework pursuit and defensive AI common sense in rushing situations.

It's pretty crazy how good that HB is w/out any special skills. Basically just pure physicals with top level cond/heart/tough. No SAs to help break tackles, meh elusive running...just fast and in shape

You take a bad angle on fast runner and you get what?

Burnt.

Pursuit is pretty inconsistent, and I’ve been complaining about blitz/angles and tagging since day 1. Since the rework of balance and the impact of physicals overall, it just seems like an unchecked niche that doesn’t necessarily have a drawback.

It’s the same issue I have with WR screens. The play in the middle of the field has evolved so much in the game, but as for the sidelines it’s just been getting worse.

Worst tacklers on the team are CBs at 70 tackle, (40 grip & power).

3 games in we're already at double digit fumbles (80 min on the backs, 50 min on the receivers - mostly the backs)so even though our rushing numbers are much healthier... we can't hold on the ball. The sim hates vertical zone teams, I'm telling you.

As for my weekly (daily) passing complaint - I'm trying to put Mahomes on the Dolphins and send it to God I cannot fathom why no one else seems to want to see this happen. Logzilla has their Lamar, let me have my Patty. CIT is clearly still the norm since deep threat receivers fookin suck (bc the QBs fookin suck) and although they have all this speed, tech, and elusiveness (and quickness! I mean damn), they're out here getting matched by slow ass CBs.

Reworked my doodie QB and I'm still unenthused. Less pass awareness seems to have been worth it though, yet the decline in playmaking and production since the pass changes were made is telling (and 64 was tough as hell for us in terms of schedule).

I do feel like the overemphasis on trying to lead has ended up screwing us royally, as I was used to building QBs to lead in the first place (pass power & awareness will get you right). Now we have way too many wild leads.

So far this season he's better for based on the quality of opponents we've played so far, but I'm not enthused by the flatness of vertical zone.

Not sure what your build was before this. But this is what I'd do for a pocket passing QB.

From what you posted the biggest critical issue(s) are your lack of toughness and low consistency. You also have a high footwork and quickness with no sprinting so you're not even able to use all of your movement physicals. I'm also concerned about your stamina So far over 2 games (low sample size) your long passes get markedly worse in the fourth quarter. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/885371863113564162/1093656099762221086/image.png

This is last season (Can't see build so just have to guess for QB build. Guessing lower stamina, power, consist)

The next step ends up being; whats your snap reaction and quickness on your WR's and TE's. Are they getting to the point where they can receive the ball before pressure is coming. Is there a lot of stamina fall off from 1q to 4q?

QPR has a non S* QB at the helm and he's done us proud. Had a horrible start to his career, though, and much like you I had a lot of grievances with the SIM's passing game. The advice that I took on board from the Academy's Discord channel helped fix my qualms and I feel much more comfortable using the non S* QB.

I also created another QB for the Trotters to test whether it was a fluke or not. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/381866

What I learned:
- Very High Consistency and Tech
- Pocket Awr in 50s and this is related to the OL's snap reaction. High snap means lowish PA. Low snap means highish PA
- then Accuracy = Power at 50
- Invested next to nothing in Pass Awr. I feel I have FAR better control over the QB's decision-making as the OC when the Pass Awr is non-existent
- Heart 60+ and Leadership 70+

The build is related to the WR and TE's snap as well as OL snap. Oh, and my QBs have the physical stats of Tom Brady.

Well, that's the logic I've been using. And I'm about to throw all that away in the next QPR run

Watch some QPR. S* WR and 2 S*TEs are being fed by a non S* QB. We're not afraid to throw deep.

As for Mahomes, well the plan is to try and make something like that on the next run. But the suggestions that I have received have challenged my logic.

Actually it was more stamina, power, and consistency and less accuracy. I put together a vertical zone playbook and tested it over the second half of last season to test a) pass blocking & b) to test the viable of a vertical offense. The significant drop in production as the season went along confused me, and honestly the performance/game management has been better. The lack of effective plays for a vertical offense is a bit of an issue too imo.

I’m going star receivers next run, I just never really knew how much they were carrying even S* QBs booties.

I will say that the extra physicals helps with pocket movement and extending plays. We’re doing better in terms of QB protection. Now we just need him to play special.

Yeah the targets are more important than the qb for passing...not even close

Head Fake and/or Hard Cut is a MUST on speed WRs.

Both, plus gold first step. Honestly, I can’t really say having a star receiver would change much; we’re not struggling with separation. We’re struggling with our QB.

The sim literally fucks us, agerm said it best in his review - on paper, it’s weird we’re struggling as much as we are. Watching our sims, teams built around S* QBs aren’t quite viable yet, and reap nowhere near the reward of S* HBs.

Second - Having a fast defense doesn’t matter when pursuit is hit or miss. Defenders aren’t going to ignore blockers to change the play.

Both conceptually nice styles, but not in terms of GLB2 yet.

388 in the air, 118 on the ground, but 24 of our points still came from the Kicker. Sad part is - we missed the open receivers deep multiple times to make the short play. We could’ve easily cleared 500+. Or not missing the open receivers when in the end zone multiple plays could’ve helped. I’ve built our QBs based on previous game logic, but that hasn’t looked great since the change. Our receivers are good, but without those stars it really does highlight the QBs current capability as a primary playmaker in a speed based offense.

I’m a previous post I mentioned our numbers are looking much better, but our QB play and our ability to hold onto the ball on the ground are both questionable.

I’m not saying we’re bad, I’m saying it’s a bit underwhelming. Maybe play will pick up as play knowledge is gained, but right now it’s eh. And eh play is getting us whooped
