Is there a way when you request an offer that you won't get one from an inactive team? the player seems to not be on the DC and doesn't get any playing time, thus having to release himself.

Also maybe only send contracts from CPU owned teams, unless set by owner of an active team?

You won't get a contract offer from a human controlled team unless they're looking for players. But, it never hurts to check out a team you're about to sign with just to see if there are any red flags (missing a key position like QB or K)

Yeah, sometimes people set their team to auto renew, set that they're looking for players at whatever positions and then get pulled away from the game.

As long as they have Flex their team will continue renewing and sending out contacts. When I joined GLB, Lorelea Beach Red Devils was that kind of team and they did that for a long time until the account finally ran out of Flex.

That's why it's best to check any team out before signing just to make sure the owner is active.

Inactive human teams should slot you into the roster though it may not be ideal positioning - generally getting a lot of conditioning remedies this.

But, I'd always check depth of the position I'm signing for at any team I accept a contract from. And any team that is inactive owner or cpu you can leave if the playtime isn't right and sign immediately with another team.
