Looking at the play, I would assume the line of scrimmage was to far for the tactics set to even consider kicking a field goal at that point. If it does not match the max field goal range they will never attempt this.

Now maybe them adding a end of half different field goal tactics that would be nice to say fuck it try it anyway.

that would be a 60+ field goal attempt. So not sure many would make it anyway.

No. Watch that play, when the player is tackled it shows 1sec remaining. With no timeouts to stop the clock, the next play is a FG with 1sec remaining… In other words, the offense got off the field and FG unit got setup and ready to kick with no time elapsing.

oh damn i didnt notice this at all . my bad lol.

maybe end of half we have college football rules we didnt know about.
In college the clock stops on a first down until the ball gets set.
