So sad that he never had an offensive line to speak of. Think of what he could have done if he wasn't 1 v 11 on every play!

He was unreal. When Bobby Ross became coach and gave him a fullback, he gained over 2000 yards. Best football player I have ever watched, with Bo Jackson a close second.

And yet Bo Jackson made the cut over him on 1980s. He was a close 2nd though.

That sure-footed "sure" came in handy

I think that might be the most valuable SA now, as it can be valuable to so many types of players.

I need Bo for blocking on Holieway runs. One thing Sanders was a liability in, was blocking. He had like a 10 in run block awareness and tech.

I fucking love Barry Sanders, and he had insane vision and athleticism. Bo had better athleticism. Some people are just physical freaks, Bo literally destroyed his body because he was too strong.

It's hard to measure them up because they were different kinds of players. Bo would just as easily run through someone as he would run a circle around him. Barry just had that insane total core package that let him change directions seamlessly and accelerate out of nowhere, combined with a ridiculous awareness of his situation at all times and the man just went. Didn't need blocks, didn't need a plan, he just ran and made people look like fools.

Barry was just sth else. Too bad Lions wasted his talent... like Calvin's and Stafford's... Damn those lions...

My favorite Bo moment will always be him trucking Brian "Bust" Bosworth at the goal line. That, or throwing the runner out at home plate from the warning track.
