5 game streak of all kicks made, 17 FGs + 12 XPs. Now 76.5% for the season.

How bad is kicking really? I think once we get to the later stages they aren’t too bad. Sometimes they shank them, but let's pretend like that’s the defensive version of rattling them. What’s the hit % we want to scale good the elite kickers on?

I think my kicker is almost in 80%.

After the FG power change and missing at a greater clip, I reeled in the safe and max FG distances so we attempt shorter kicks. I certainly do not even try for as many 50-60+ yards as I used to. I assume that is why our FG success rate is as high as it is.

Or that year was a bad RNG year for wind. Or there was a stealth fix possibly to help kickers.

Anybody hitting FGs at a decent clip from 50+?

I don't think teams are trying as many long FGs anymore. My kickers have attempted 2 at 50+ this season between the two of them.

We miss fgs at a high rate, but for me I’ll take the chance at 3 vs netting a 15 yard punt

We never went for long 'safe' field goals. When you miss, it gives the opposing team good field position for their next series.

If you have a good punter, he'll pin them deep in their end and you should get the ball back with good field position for your next series.

I have a really good punter so I have a high rate of putting it inside the 20 yard line. That makes a major impact on the other team not being able to score a TD. Kicking from far just go so bad I did the same as Detroit, lowered my max fg range and will rarely take a 50 harder attempt. We make a much higher rate. So I took the time to improve my Pinter more than just power and make a SA work. Which meant I was able to make my punter able to kick inside the 20 A LOT easier than before. Which means I bet more than 15, and if you miss a 50 yarder you leave your opponent only needing 55 yards to score versus leaving your opponent 80+ yards to try and score. No morale loss from missing the kicker either. If you pin inside 20 a morale boost!

In fact 57 of 89 punts have been inside 20 this year for us. That’s a big impact for a team. 65% of punts result inside the 20. I didn’t even look to see how many of those were really bad field position punts that never would go inside 20.

I just punt far and hope inspire fear triggers, if I’m on offense… we’ll there’s a lot of long punts needed
