I find that the teams resetting get lumped in a league first and then it seems random after that for newly bought teams.

This is why one league always seems stacked compared to others.

I have this shit down to a science.

Everyone who chooses to reset gets put in the "Reset League" this is typically the hardest League although it isn't always. This season the reset League is Egg League.

Most new teams get put in the second League. This season this is Palm League.

Although the preseason is officially 3 days it's really 4 as no games are played on the first day of the season. Teams made on this "4th day" are typically place in the third, and easiest league. (See Chosen Gators) This season that league is Chocolate League. Teams that are bought midway through the season are also typically thrown into this league.

The earlier you make your team the harder the League you get placed in. For hardest League reset before he season even ends. For easiest league buy a team on the 4th preseason day.

Disclaimer!
League balancing is done before the 3rd preseason day ends. Typically they try to get all the human teams in the same two leagues. (See what happened to Assisted Living V.2 at the start of this season) This is also why making a team on the "4th" preseason day gets you an ez league. The staff, The AI, or whatever does League balancing around here, has already balanced the leagues out so it won't go back an move teams again. Since all the human teams were stuffed into the first two leagues there is a much higher chance the team you will buy is on the 3rd league since when you buy a team you replace an existing CPU one.

So if you want a challenge go for the reset league. If you want an ez season wait until the preseason is over.

Interesting...that makes perfect sense.

Should we go for an easy trophy or the challenge of a lifetime?

Reset it is!

It also seems to stack the leagues by coaching record.

There is one division per league (excluding reset league) that favors owner with little/no experience. Alphia in Palm has no owner with more than 30 games coached.

Last Year Dove Gamma - all brand new owners.
