Make Adept trait give you 3 extras Ability Points. What is the point? You can't gold the 3rd SA with just 2 additional Ability Ponts. This trait is useless.

It lets you gold SAs earlier. Adept S* DEs start with Gold Spin Cycle which is nothing to scoff at.

The downside is that it's less impactful than other SAs once you hit Vet. DEs can still get showboat though which isn't nothing.

^ Even a non-S* can get a gold SA before rookie playoffs, and all their future golds occur faster than everyone else's as well. With all of the 1 point wonders like showboat (bronze value > silver/gold value) you can get a lot even at vet for just 2 SAs. This applies to stuff like surefooted, brick wall, pump fake, spin cycle, etc.

The biggest downside imo is honestly the cap hit, not the lack of value.

Ya'll make some valid arguments but if I mainly care about Vet, it isn't worth it.

Edit: Kvothe makes some valid points about Vet...but still think they should up it to 3 for a %10 Min Salary.

I think it would be borderline overpowered for 3 APs. Maybe overpowered isn't the right word, but it'd be one of the most popular traits for positions with good SAs. I think every DB and DL would need grab it. LBs too probably.

The point is that you can't get an extra gold SA.
