The CB1 should be closer to the line of scrimmage than 6 yards. It's First and 10 at the beginning of the game, in a running formation.

But...

If that is the case, why didn't it land on the ROLB? He's 4 yards off the line of scrimmage; 6 yards away from the WR. Okay, there's a small angle but is the distance really over 8 yards?

And if in the end this is the case, can't CDog or Bort just simply state that? I'll add it to a TE and do the same tests.

This S* G has silver First Strike. I do not recall seeing morale hits occurring with early testing when I snagged it though.

Been watching on mobile and not even watching morale any more though.

OK...I have proof that First Strike does work. Look at this replay. My right tackle, Shockwave, fires First Strike. The closest defender is NT JS Stumps. At the beginning of the play, he has 68 morale. As soon as the ball is snapped...at the 1 tick mark, his morale goes down to 67. Pretty crappy loss of morale, but Shockwave only has 62 snap reaction and silver First Strike. I am guessing the higher the snap reaction and higher the First Strike level, the more morale the defender loses.

Yep, I ran it all over the place during Practice Squad's last run and didn't see morale drops like I expected. It's a very niche SA right now, but does help Receivers

Although...there were many other times in the game when First Strike fired and no defender lost any morale. Think we need to test this at gold First Strike and high snap reaction.

Then there was one time, when my left tackle fired First Strike and a DL on the other side of the ball (3 players down) lost morale...wierd.

I think it also helps O Linemen not to get pancaked within the first 2 seconds. That is why I am putting it on my linemen. I hate when a defender just bull rushes, revpancakes and blows the play up.

Maybe the size of the morale hit is affected by the Intimidation of the dot using First Strike and the Toughness/Heart of the opposing player?

Could be. None of my players have invested in Intimidation yet.

If Intimidation was a modifier, it should be stated. Since it's not, I'd assume it has no effect.

CD has said that the text above the skill is not all of the description. They purposely leave info out so we can discover it. Maybe the same applies to SAs?

As they should, I think the brief description is what the player should need. Helps "slow down" cookie cutter builds to a degree
