Zone defenses got some love since you left and can get the job done. Still need an offense to go with the defense though.

We are going heavy S* defense again...like 5*. DT, LB, 2 CBs and a FS. Is passing still unstoppable? When I left, passing teams were putting up like 70 points per game. I remember that Rob dude...think that was his name...was shredding defenses.

A good zone defense can counterbalance a good passing game with the number of KLs and INTs it generates.

INTs? Wow....it was ridiculously hard to get INTs when I left. My hard hitting defense was always able to get a ton of KLs though.
Good to see they made INTs happen more to counter the 100% passing teams.

Passing got nerfed. You should check he changelog because some build fundamentals have changed.

It's actually a little ridiculous how much accurate and confident QBs throw it directly at zone defenders. Not as bad as a few seasons back, but it's still pretty nasty.

Zone defenses have to be somewhat viable against the pass. Still largely an INT/KL or bust against quality passing teams. Without INTs and KLs, they just give up too much compared to man defenses.

I think there is currently a pretty decent balance between zone and man defensive viability right now. Man defenses are still a bit stronger IMO, but zone is do-able.

I am actually really enjoying the hybrid man/zone defense with BSB.

If I recall correctly, most of the zone changes happened before he left, but before he could take advantage of anything and while people were still mocking zone.

Yeah...they were changing right when we left. But we are back to take full advantage now
