Forum > Goal Line Blitz 2 > How are ladder games determined?

Vancouver Waterboys and Blood Sweat Beers have now been scheduled to play each other for the 3rd time in the last 7 ladder games when there are a number of teams we haven't even played once.

I mean, we love having our heads pounded in as much as the next team but, come on, let's have some variety in opponents!

A lot of convoluted things stacked on top of each other, mostly.

The reason you have played that team so often is because people wanted the last ladder games of the season to be closer ranked teams, even if it meant ignoring the "previously played" criteria. It was made apparent that it would result in playing teams multiple times, and people were fine with that trade off. So now you've played them three times.

I thought we wanted like a 1v2 and 3v4 or something close to that to end the season. 1 v 16 and 2 v 9 is a stretch. Can't help it if it's random but maybe with the added "last ladder games" factor it has thrown rookie off.

I do think the final games are confined to your tier, which is great, at least from what I've looked at

This would make sense but right now we're 9th and playing the 2nd ranked team yet the 8th ranked team ahead of us is playing the 18th ranked team.

My suggestion, play the first 8 ladder games against your own tier then play the next 8 games based on your global tier. That way we'll have good teams in a lower tier playing worse teams in an upper tier. We've scrimmaged against 3 or so Sophomore teams this season and they were great, fun games.

I'd rather do that than getting our asses handed to us over and over again by a much better team just because we're in the same tier.

And, maybe play 6 games based on global tier rank then the final 2 against your own tier. At least this way you shouldn't play a team more than twice.

I'd like to see the last ladder game always be #1 vs #2 or as close as you can get it

Check the Suggestion forum. I think I have a solution to this and I'll post it there...
