Hello folks!

Following on from my previous thread on this, I'm thinking about the third SA for a lineman that already has gold in Get Low and Pull Specialist.

Would you recommend:

- Wide Load: it sounds helpful to slow nearby unblocked blitzers

- First Strike: new, but sounds interesting to get the jump on your opponent

- First Step: might help to get a good push in?

Thoughts welcome!

in my opinion, if your a heavy run team, adding Immovable Object isnt a bad way to think either. get low is when your winning the run block interaction, but what about those few times he may lose the battle?

first strike at o-line if your not 70+ i dont think its worth it. people are building D-line with 70-80 snap reaction, if you cant match its almost better to put the points into recovering from their First strike

Wide load does help give that extra second to the QB on pass plays. its saved our a couple times. but if your not pass dominant then it could be a waste.

i have not done any testing nor read anything about first step being that beneficial for linemen. receivers and TEs i feel are best suited for first step, really get that advantage off the line but also their not stopping immediately to block, their continuing in stride with their route

I want to say that this G guy had first step and my S* OT may have as well back in my hay day.

Watch a few games to see if you notice it firing.

I know rhat I had first step OLineman on one of my runs and they also had some wheels. Sometimes a cake early and they would bolt up and latch on to the safety real quick.

If it was not this run, I apologize. I know I've done it though.

Wide load seems super powerful to me, it's just insane the value it has. I've done 0 testing on it though so I may be wrong.

As much as I do like Wide load I would go with Resolute. fires a lot and seems to help once DT get Spin Cycle. and just a good all around SA for Oline

first step- not super great on oline but can be nice.

First Strike- has a low fire rate.

How has no one mentioned Pancake Chef? Together with Resolute, I believe them to be the two best OL SAs.

Get low always gives me more fits as someone who builds d-linemen mainly. Resolute is indeed also an amazing one.

Personally I'd go Get Low and Wide Load for a run blocker primarily, Get Low and Resolute for a balanced, and just maybe Resolute and Wide load for a pass blocker specialist.

But that's preference. There's a lot of good ways to make an offensive lineman in my experience.

How does Wide Load help with Run Blocking?

activates on run or pass plays per description, and helps prevent backfield penetration by blitzers and unblocked d-linemen on sweeps.

Pulling specialist might be better if you have problems with getting to the block.
