Forum > Goal Line Blitz 2 > Wide open drops... why?

I've got a Rookie WR with 77 receiving hands and he's making great catches in traffic. But, when he's wide open with no one around he drops the ball. Why? Is this because of receiving consistency (it's 38)? Is being wide open considered a "pressure situation"?

He does this once almost every game.

Its a few things, QB technique, reveigin awareness to a degree, may not even recognize the ball is coming, consistancy, whats his morale at when he drops, just lots of factors, one big math equation with random rolls

Your not the only one. This happens to every single team. We have a superstar WR with same problem. Trippled covered he will snag it out the air like the karate kid with a fly, but wide open beats his man by 5 yards and drops almost 50% of the time. We had him almost even out all recieving skills and conditioning was a bit low, starting to see better progress since he has done this. But it still happens.

Up your Rec Consistency to at least 50 and this should somewhat fix itself.

Could it be chemistry?

Where does receiving consistency level out against worthwhile further investment?

They both need to be very high imo. Flints drops are very low, if u take out HB/FB

It's debatable. I like 80's myself, but some guys on here will be ok with 70's, though 50 should at least be manageable...personally I hate wide open and 3rd down drops with a fucking passion.

I used reception awareness and CIS to offset my drops.

I’ve also noticed some drops are forced by the defense (when playing man). Either forcing bad throws or disrupting the “chemistry” between the receiver and QB.
