With that said, what are you actually suggesting? An option for ALL players to have a tackle setting? I'm not against something like this, I've had dumb dives happen in games of mine... cc:
Hmmm maybe im wording it wrong. The very last missed tackle of the clip i posted where the WR runs an extra 20 yards more than his entire team, catches up to the LB and just dives to early. How do we make him run one more step before the dive? I think thats what im ultimatly wondering if that could be adjusted.
I like osiris idea of making it a tactic in the defense strategies, making it a team wide effect. Soon as the ball is intercepted, the offense is now the defense trying to stop a score. Have a 1-5yard setting of when a player is aloud to dive. Yes this can screw you if you set it to low and, like you pointed out, the C would not have caught up to the LB, but that WR needed just one step to even slow up the LB, not guaranteeing hed make the tackle because theres the height weight factor for breaking tackles, but atleast have a better chance at the tackle than diving and falling like a true Cincinnat Bengal player has been faking their tackling attempts for years lol
