Suggestions get a lot of votes because most people have an opinion on them. For me several things factor into if I up or down a suggestion.

1) Is it a good or bad suggestion in your opinion?

2) Is the suggestion something you want Bort spending his time on right now?

3) Does the suggestion keep things simple? They tried to implement every suggestion in GLB1 and ruined the game by doing it. It became a convoluted patchwork of not well thought out features. I appreciate the slow and methodical approach they have here. Be careful what you wish for.

My opinion is just my opinion but for this suggestion...

2) leaning no
3) leaning no, unless they can fit it seamlessly into their current system

I’m leaning no on this one mostly because of #3. For #2 it is the first time in 46 seasons it’s been brought up that I can remember so should Bort put off fixing and developing other things in favor of this? If suggested in 5-10 seasons from now I may lean yes. Selling me on #3 is the key on almost any marginal suggestion, if you don’t it’s probably a thumbs down from me.

I agree with your #2, definatly other way more important issues need his attention wat more than just stopping a player from diving at max distance.

Can we agree IF the population of GLB increases, then this COULD be a topic of discussion at that point?

It can be a topic right now. Like I said it is my opinion and mine only. It’s by no means a bad suggestion. Sell me on #3, I posted how I think it could be integrated in the other thread.

I just don’t want the game Frankensteined like GLB1. An example is we have to choose or defenses with tags while we have to choose coverage cushions with the same tags.

I mean honestly thats a good way to look at all suggestion, your 3 steps/questions. And your not lying when you say classic took every single suggestion they possibly could throw into the game into it. Turned classic into a math problem lol still fun but its sooooooo much more in depth or just "extra" you could say.

I up-voted every post that was here when I saw the down-votes that looked to be out of spite. I didn't think any were bad suggestions and normally I don't down-vote something even if I don't want it implemented but would respond with why I think its a bad Idea. A lot of things suggested even when they sound good, can cause other, some times game breaking issues. Those of us that have been here a few years no exactly what I mean. I had no votes up or down in the original topic. I stay out of political discussions, even in the political forum, because I come here to have fun. No reason to thumbs down something for the spite of it. This game needs all the people it can get for the benefit of us all, and running someone away because you don't agree with them in a post about non game stuff helps no one here, especially when they take the time to go back and erase everything they said and drop it.
