Unintentional or not, when you run your car over someone's mailbox they are going to be upset.

Same idea, instead of getting indignant because you didn't meant to upset someone, you should seek to de-escalate a situation instead of escalating it. Even if it was unintentional, it was hurtful and insensitive to a good deal of people.

Everyone says dumb things from time to time, insensitive things, the problem is you can't get angry at people for trying to point out the insensitivity or even assuming it was intentional.

Clarify and discuss, don't acuse an get indignant over it. If we want to continue to come together as poeple instead of letting our differences divide us, we have to go out of the way to try and understand eachother.


I get you weren't being intentionally inflammatory, it's why I'm trying to discuss things and unwrap all this. We should always be trying to be more understanding, even when humor backfires on us

all lives can't matter until black lives do. That's literally what black lives matter is all about. Black lives SHOULD matter but too often, at least in the US, they don't. Black Lives Matter doesn't mean other lives don't, it's an effort to call attention to the fact that even 50+ years after I Have A Dream and 100+ years after slavery was abolished, black people are still seen as sub-human by FAR TOO MANY people, and ESPECIALLY people in power.

Bengals, when someone says "Save the rainforest" they don't mean that other forests aren't important. They mean a situation has arisen and the rainforest specifically is being effected.

There is an implicit 'too' on the end of black lives matter, and all because some people choose to be idiots and destroy property and businesses within their own neighborhoods doesn't mean that overall the protests don't have merit, it means that a lot of people are irrationally angry and taking it out in unhealthy ways.

But what they are angry about is valid, we do have serious problems right now as a country and with the police state that has evolved, the countless videos of peaceful protesters being countered with absolute viciousness just goes to show exactly what they are all out there for.


All lives matter, but at the moment it's all too often that black lives aren't treated as mattering.

The Police who killed Flloyd didn't even report that an officer had kneeled on his back or neck, and claimed that he died of a panic attack while in custody. The coroner 'confirmed' that, and then an independent autopsy showed there was absolutely no way that he died in the way the coroner had said he did, that it was a crushed windpipe and asphyxiation as cause of death with no uncertainty whatsoever.


The police murdered him because they could, while he was already on the ground and in handcuffs on his face and not resisting, because they could and they get away with it all the time.

That's a huge issue, and the fact the coroner fell in line despite all the attention this got shows just how far they are willing to go to cover their asses for eachother in wanton murder.


It's entirely unacceptable, and is a threat to the rights of all Americans.
