We’re taking things a little dark here with your greatest L. The one that really hit home. Can be any game, but give us a little history. To kick us off:

First of all, I’d like to give a shoutout to all the fallen homies. Been here from the begging, really got into it around season 5-6 (GLB original was never much my speed so I made the full jump) and had some great times. Air Raid & Ground Assault were probably my biggest headaches (I only gave them fights towards the end of their lifetimes unfortunately, they kicked my ass plenty when we were upstarts), but back then there was a ridiculous amount of competition so my rival count was pretty high.

https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/151170

Ahh, this season was the beginning of the end for my once great passing team. Air Raid who? We didn’t need screens to ball out (until we later “combined” with Air Raid and ended up using screens heavily lol) and we sure didn’t have to worry about defense!!

Lies, our defense was beginning to crumble. I had always been able to create lockdown CBs in this game (whether it be myself of through the build plans of back in the day) but safety integration was poor for me. Don’t get me started on the rest of my defense. I was NOT a capable builder, let me tell you that much. Balanced offenses were still a rarity (which Deadman went on to transition to which lead to many playoff heartbreaks across the organization) so single minded defenses was my thing. Front 7 run, back half pass. Jesus Christ that did not work well as we moved up and on to Vet.

This game right here? Hit me. Teams we used to blow out by multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) TDs started to give us pressure. League/team/main forums were hot, full coaching staffs were scrambling to take the new throne as the original powers began to lose wind to us upstarts. Then it dawned on me, we weren’t the upstarts anymore. We were the old powers. High ladder rankings turned to duking it out for top 10 (for all you newer people out there, imagine about 80-100 user teams you’re trying to hang tough with in vet. you didn’t reset, you recruited. unfortunately now that position is useless, but player movement was real) every season.

And it all began with this game. Honestly hard to believe I was a relevant guy. Now you young guns run me in circles religiously. I’ll be back with more bite next season though

League Championship game, Season 22, Bronx vs BSB:

Bronx has the ball with a 7 point lead, one minute left, and just one more first down will ice the game.

Derek Jeter takes the toss for the first down and FUMBLES!
https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/414244/3238530

BSB scores a TD on the final play of regulation and then wins the game in OT.

Had some serious back and forth matchups with BB for sure. Despite not being in sync with BSB initially, I believe the Bombers were BSBs greatest rivalry.

Probably season 33 against Blue Dragons, was up by 7, threw an int that led to a TD, than punted on next drive. They kicked a FG with 1 second left for the win and moved on to Championship game.

Damn I was hoping to see PORN losing to Hawaii and Bronx losing to EEA on the same day - or maybe other way around I forget.

Mine was prob losing to Salty or Animal Kingdom a while back in a playoff game or late ladder game.

Here we go:

Up 23-6 late in the 3rd quarter of the league championship game and the colossal choke

I had two, both in the same season. I'm still not over it.

Game 1: Bronx at Whoville

Must win game for Whoville. A win and we probably would win the division, a loss and we miss the playoffs. We were just a couple first downs away from icing it and were likely going to score. Bronx hadn't stopped the inside run all day. 3rd and 1 was the perfect scenario. We pick up seven then this happens. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/436513/2445047

Bronx has their best drive of the day for 79 yards and a TD. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/436513/2445205

We get the ball back and go on another drive. 20 seconds left we miss a 29 yard FG, and this is vet. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/436513/2445374

Game 2: Whoville at vape Nation

I didn't think things could get any worse. We were at #1 Vape Nation and had a 14 point lead with 5 minutes to go.

We were still up 7 with 1:37 left with Vape 80 yards away. They scored 10 points in 14 seconds leaving me to rethink my life. Watch this sequence of failure. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/451248/3077233

Speaking of Bronx. Season 32.

I had started my very first team in Season 26. I didn't know what I was doing. I made bad builds, had inactive players, and I was clueless on gameplanning.

Most seasons I didn't make the playoffs and if I did it was one and out. I was feeling frustrated and out of patience. Then in season 32 I got good. Had some new players and had figured out most of the gameplanning.

My Team was matched up against Bronx in the 1st round of the playoffs. Every time I played them before I got crushed. I spent huge chunks of my 2-3 days coming up with new tactics and playbooks for the game.

The game was going pretty amazing for me. I held him to 0 points for roughly 58 minutes of the game and I was up by 8. Somehow after being stopped all day his team all of sudden was able to do no wrong and every play went in their favor. He marched down the field 80 yards and scored a TD with 1:19 left in the game. He goes for the 2 point conversion and of course gets it.

Then in overtime he proceeds to march down the field another 80 yards to score the game winning touchdown.

To say I was upset is a gross understatement. To make matters worse he decided to throw salt into my wound by trash talking me on the forum.

My worst and most frustrating loss - https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/564517/box_score

One of the few times any team has gotten more rushing yards than KC, I would think.
