What happened to that? I went looking to change my special teams around and do onside kicks but I cant find the option and I remember using that and it working. I thought? ok yeah its been a long time since I used it but dayum its just gone???

There was never an option. It just happen when U score some points and be down by less than 9 points. And it never got a good ending.
