Warrior General Games

So I haven't been involved with GLB since about 8 or so years go, before GLB2 was a thing. I'm having some real trouble with my team and if anyone has the time, I could really use some help.

My issues are:

1 - My QB is getting blown up constantly. I assume it's because my O-line is more run focused. I read a thread that said pass block stuff was almost useless, but obviously that might have been wrong. All my o-line is open if anyone wants to check them out. I can build up some pickup players to replace as I have a lot of points, and I don't mind spending the time to do it. (Can you drop players, respec, and rehire them?)

1.5 - I don't really have any blocking tight ends. And I do take a good bit of sacks from LBs. Is that something I should change? Honestly when I'm getting sacked by LBs, theirs usually 2 lineman that got through anyway, but it's gotta be part of the issue.

2 - I feel like my special teams is kinda screwed up. Maybe its a depth chart issue? I give up a lot more yards on KR/PR then I get myself.

Any help is appreciated. I know this game is sorta dead, but I love it, and I'd love some help

3 - My secondary bites really hard on play action. What skills prevents this? Just Man Aware/Zone Aware?

1- Yes, as long as they're not CPU players, you can cut them, respec, then sign them again.
1.5- Blocking TEs, or even combo TEs can help, but you have to check the "QB may hold back TE to block extra blitzers" box in your offense tactics. However, this takes the TEs out of your passing game, and that's a heavy trade-off to consider. I've never used it.
2- Default ST depth charts are broken. Use defensive players on punt and kickoff teams, and offensive ones on returns.
3- Pursuit is how you negate play action

1) Pass blocking does matter, but playcalling matters more. Throwing long will get you lit up if your receivers are slow. Probably best to do short/medium throws til you get used to GLB2. QB pocket awareness is aslo important.

2) Special teams is a mess in GLB2. Tweeking only can do so much

3) Pursuit skill counters play action

Welcome back! I too came back after a similar length of being gone just a month ago or so

1) Playcalling issue. Get GLBScout and you will be the one blowing up the blitz.

3) Pursuit is the skill to slow the bite on play action. Safeties over the top can help too.

Boost up your QB's Pocket Awareness for starters.

Your OLine is getting reversed pancaked to death. Boost Pass Block Power and Balance.

Also, after watching your team play John Gruden's Nightmare, your entire offense needs more Heart and Toughness. They were beat down by the 1st Q.

FL hitch is your friend. Seems to be the fastest play for getting the ball out of your QBs hands.
